The article about Whedon leaving said it was coming out in summer 2021. Just wondering if they actually moved it up.

Real HBO, not HBO Max. And I forgot about that summer 2021 mention. Maybe they said that before everything started filming again, and they've found that have a fuller schedule than anticipated, so they moved it up. Will still technically end in the summer though.

No. Sorry. Meaning *just* HBO. HBO Max produces shows that are separate from HBO. For instance, Raised by Wolves is an HBO Max series, not an HBO series. So amercer was wondering if The Nevers was like that, or is like, say Succession, which is a real/true HBO show that just debuts on the HBO Max streaming platform (along with cable).

And for the record, I will only ever post or discuss real/true/actual HBO shows in this thread, no HBO Max-produced shows.
Yeah, I'm always down for more content but there seems to be a bit of a quality gap between the classic HBO stuff and the made for max content. Hopefully HBO never gives up on making real prestige television.
I guess they can't call an HBO show Showtime. Even if it is the obvious title.

Anyone planning on checking this out this weekend? It's the first scripted Sunday night drama on HBO in months, due to the pandemic. Still, I'm on the fence. Will definitely be checking out Mare of Easttown the week after, but I think I'll wait for responses on this one before potentially joining in.
From the previews the premise looks cool, but at the same time I'm not exactly sure what it is, if that makes sense. As boring middle aged guy I usually rely on hype (mostly from this board) to guide me to the best new stuff, but this show doesn't seem to have much.
