I enjoyed it.
Ted Danson looks and sounds much too old for the role.

Almost didn't recognize Jesse Plemons! He's almost as fat as me now.
Really enjoyed that. The scene in the diner was crazy.
Didn't recognize Kieran Culkin at all - he was fantastic but reminded me so much of a much less annoying Ziggy from S2 of the Wire. I love Jean Smart- looking forward to more of her. O

I've been looking forward to this for months, and it did not disappoint. Probably my favorite show, I just love it.

I think the only link is going to answer some passing comments from season 1 (Sioux Falls and why Molly's dad got out of police work) and this season will focus on the past of someone who was a minor character in season 1. Otherwise it will stand alone I think.

I'd say this season is starting off strong to quite strong!
Good to hear I don't need to catch up with season 1 as I had a recording issue and missed a couple of the last episodes. I loved what I saw and I am really excited to dive into this season.
You need to watch S1 because it was the 2nd best new show on TV last year - Better Call Saul is #1.
Loved the first episode but it SUCKS to see Culkin die. He was awesome. I was hoping he would be around for a while. I love the look and feel of the show. The music is great too. Brad Garrett is going to be great.

I thought with the UFO, they were kind of channeling McConaughey's drug flash backs from True Detective S1. I marked it up as, "Weird things this character sees when they're on drugs."
It's definitely a Coen Brothers thing. I don't hate the explanation, but it felt forced. I can ignore it if it's a one time out of the blue thing (that's what I meant by referring to the Fish Tornado).

I think that shoe up in the tree belonged to the shooter.
The shoe flew up in the tree when he got hit by the car.
I rewatched the episode to see this scene.

This guy milligan really reminds me of malvo last year. His mannerisms and use of philosophic quotes are very similar. Definitely an intriguing character.
Accidentally fell into this show last week when it premiered and holy h$ll it is awesome. Love how the episodes are 90 min and I really enjoy the Midwest mob angle.
Milligan is definitely the most interesting character to me thus far. Not your typical mob muscle. Woodbine and Danson were great in their scene together.
