Yep, that was pretty bad ass. I had to restart it 20 minutes in because I was a little confused. I didn't read any spoilers and for some reason I had assumed Vince Vaughn was a cop.

Solid. I wish it hadn't taken so long to bring all three detectives together, but I get why. It's a great beat to end on, and they needed the entire episode to properly set up twice as many main characters as last season. That said, it's obvious now just how rare/special season one was. McConaughey/Harrelson will never be duplicated, and I can already feel the vacuum left by no occult angle this go around. Still, it's unfair to compare, and I'm definitely intrigued. I like knowing we haven't even scratched the surface at this point. It almost felt like prequel episode in a way, with so many possibilities going forward. Not to mention, I love how cinematic it looks. I think I still prefer last season's cinematography slightly better, but this is a nice alternative. Overall, I can't wait to see where it goes.

On the other than, I'm guessing Aspens bullying days are done.
I really haven't delved into the leaked plot points in an effort to stay somewhat fresh, but is there really no occult angle this go around? The condition of the city manager's body suggest something out of the ordinary.
Not really since he had a secret sex house and his member was dismembered.
I heard Pizzolato had some occult stuff scattered throughout this season, but then took it all out. Not 100% sure, though. Still, it felt like what was done to Casper was more of a calculated thing than rather any kind of a ritualistic doing.

Until the last couple of minutes, it just seemed like a lot of unrelated, trivial storylines.
Hope it's just a slow start and things start picking up. But no character so far has been remotely interesting in the way that Rust was.

Ozymandias was the single greatest episode of any series I've ever seen, and Cranston gave the performance of his career.
MM was undoubtedly great but no single performance of his in TD compares with that one, and that is what wins an Emmy.

Really solid with some awesome scenes, felt an awful lot like "the bridge" towards the end. Dark...and you have the somewhat ****ty female detective with a messed up family/past, the other detective compromised, both trying to fight corruption and trust issues. But I liked the bridge, so iif that's the worst comparison this show gets I am in.
