I think Scarlett Witch and Jean Grey are matched in the potential power struggle.

They both have shtons of potential, but they can't always tap into/control it.

So who of the tier 2 power types would win? I'm talking minor powers and tech. Black Panther? Spider-Man? I know Cap beat Spidey in Civil War, but I think a more seasoned Spidey mops the floor with Cap.

Man, Jean Grey should be the best but she always gets knocked out by an errant chair. At least in the 90s cartoon.

For all its faults, at least Apocalypse finally gave us a competent Jean.

I guess it depends if Wolverine is tier 2. Despite his healing factor, I don't think he's on the same level as Hulk and Thor. Spider-Man is a good answer. He's a lot stronger and faster than Cap.

I think a lot of people don't realize how incredibly OP Spidey is. Dude really has to pull his punches

I think it's pretty clear the most powerful individual is Zach Snyder...he's basically killed the entire DC Universe

I would say he is and that he wouldn't be the top guy.

Dark Phoenix/Jean Gray is the most powerful.

From the wiki:
Jean Grey possessed telepathic powers enabling her to read minds, project her thoughts into the minds of others, initiate astral travel, and mentally stun opponents with pure psionic force, among other talents. She also possessed telekinesis, allowing her to levitate and manipulate objects and others, generate force fields, fly, and stimulate heat molecules to generate concussive blasts. Her powers were magnified to near-infinite levels while she served as an avatar for the cosmic Phoenix Force. She was able to manipulate matter and energy on a molecular scale, although this varied on the Force's status and how much power it chose to allocate to her.

I feel like Magneto could hold his own as long as there is metal close by.

Spider-man and Captain America would be pretty much useless against some of the mutants like Iceman.

Nerd question, has Magneto ever accessed the iron in people's blood?

In X2 they injected iron in that prison guard's blood. Mystique puts something in his drink at bar to knock him out, she injects him, then the next day Magneto uses it to escape.

Such insanity in that article hahah. Plastic nanomachines that house a man-made star inside his body that he can call to himself mentally? I think I prefer the movie versions.

Sometimes I'll go down the marvel wiki rabbit hole reading stuff and I'm blown away by how ridiculously stupid the things they come up with are.

It makes the movies even more impressive

I'm sure Thanos will be portrayed as the most powerful ever, Infinity War will be fun.
Doctor Doom
Apocalypse
Jean Grey/Phoenix
Inhumans hasn't been produced yet, but Black Bolt's voice can potentially destroy planets, and Inhumans is on the way.

Haven't been used but would love to see in a future Marvel film:
Onslaught
Galactus
Adam Warlock (no idea if there's any plan for Infinity War, but I would think he could make an appearance, potentially he has the soul gem which hasn't surfaced yet in the films)

Well, FOX has the rights to Doc Doom, Apoc, Phoenix, Onslaught and Galactus, and I think they already did their horrible version of Galactus in FF 2?

in the comics he went through a period where he was pretty much a badass (and kind of bad guy as well). He was dating Kitty Pryde at the time.
And then he went gay.
Or his younger version came out as gay, making his older version admit he too was gay.

The question that prompted this discussion from the previous page:

Sooooo, in the current Marvel movie universe only, and I'm counting the Sony Spiderman and Fox X-Men movies as well as the actual Marvel-produced movies....who's the biggest badass?
SeattleAgJr
How long do you want to ignore this user?
The ONLY answer is Doctor Strange. Of everyone, he can rewrite reality, rewind time, etc.

Jean Grey's powers in the movies are undefined. And the Hulk, while he has brute force, can be mitigated with the spells at Strange's command.

The only other equivalent is Thanos assuming he has the full gauntlet.

Pretty sure we see a cocoon in the Collectors place in both GotG and Thor 2 which definitely represents him. Not sure he'll make an appearance

His powers are much stronger than spider man. He's an omega level mutant.

Depending on who is writing the comic, he's definitely up there. His power, at its core, is to slow the vibration of atoms. When you look at it that way, there are very few limits.

It was mentioned in the Legion thread that Legion, Jean, and Iceman are Omega level mutants.

So them.

Great joke. It makes me wonder (and I know we said to keep it to onscreen Marvel) but where would Dr. Manhattan fit?
