Boys, based on the trailers for Thunderbolts and Cap, I'm actually excited for a couple of Marvel movies and willing to see them in the theater.

Really hoping Marvel is back to making enjoyable movies that will actually go somewhere. They'll never recreate the decade run they had, but all they have to do is make good movies.

Actually, these two trailers make me want to go back and watch the whole saga!

Personally, I didn't mind the cutting away. I thought it was well done/effective, and they more than made up for it in the third act. IMO, the movie's mortal sin was unceremoniously killing Cranston's character halfway through. Keep him around, then recast his son/Taylor-Johnson's role, and it could have been close to an all-timer. Otherwise, I loved the overall vibe so much.

Agree on this.

Feige confirms the Fantastic Four will be in both upcoming Avenger movies as well. And that X-men are closer than you think!

Deadline reported on Feige's appearance, where he first spoke about his excitement for The Fantastic Four: The First Steps. "Finally, [we're] bringing Marvel's First Family into the MCU," Feige said. "They wrap next week, the movie comes out next summer, and then all those characters go right into the next Avengers movies, so I'm very excited for the future of the Fantastic Four."

Feige later addressed the second Avengers movie, Secret Wars. "I think you will see [mutant introductions] continues in our next few movies with some X-Men players that you might recognize," he said. "Right after that, the whole story of Secret Wars really leads us into a new age of mutants and of the X-Men. Again, [it's] one of those dreams come true. We finally have the X-Men back."

The idea of seeing the X-Men done really well in the MCU has me stoked.

Casting rumors are gonna get crazy on these.

That is interesting. I'm not sure of a natural way to introduce some mutants in the upcoming films because they seem pretty dang unrelated. Maybe Disney+ shows?

I did always like the idea of introducing some of them - when it makes sense - before a traditional X-Men film. I don't think you should go for an Avengers 1 style of build up, but it would make sense if...

- Iceman appeared in a Spider-Man movie as a team-up buddy
- Storm appeared in Black Panther 3
- Banshee is an Interpol or Sword agent

Etc. I'm not really interested in a hamfisted cameo to show off your new Rogue casting in a Cap4 post-credits scene, since we've already gotten a lot of that in phase 4 and 5. But Iceman could be a college classmate of Spidey before he realizes he's not the only mutant out there and makes his way to Xavier's school, or something. It just needs to be more organic than what we got in The Marvels or the cameos at the very end of Shang-Chi, where it's more of a "hey look at this" than anything.

What I really want is a bad-ass Cylclops like in X-Men 97 and a bad-ass Colossus.

I think they would be really smart to not use Wolverine at all until maybe the second Avengers movie, and then have him come in late in the fight for a few crucial scenes, but NOT be the hero. Maybe something similar to how Captain Marvel was used in Endgame in the final battle. That would give them time to develop a lot of other characters and get some really strong presences in there before Wolverine debuts, and give them time to really find someone special for the role, because quite honestly, those might be the toughest shoes to fill in movie history at this point.
