That was my first exposure as well, but I got pretty familiar with the Marvel vs Capcom games.

Got pretty hyped when people started talking about Hawkeye being in the first Avengers movie (from that arcade game, hadn't seen him since!). Little did I know he's one of the GOATs and had been an Avenger pretty nonstop for 40 years in the comics.

Yes, there were three - X-men, Avengers, and The Simpsons which were all the same game with different graphics.

If you were the fourth one to show up at the game, you got hawkeye

There was also a TMNT game of the same variety. I played it at the arcade at Astroworld with friends once for more than an hour on the HISD "free day at astroworld for All A's or Perfect Attendance" achievement.

These are my childhood.

If you live around Dallas, you should check out a Freeplay arcade location. Odds are they'll have at least one of those. ~$12 to get in and play all you want.
