Interesting the way people see the same thing and have different takes. I always thought he was killed by Vader's saber. "If you strike me down..." and all that
Well, now we know Kenobi is a liar, from a certain point of view.

Because he projected himself as Kylo would have remembered him.WestAustinAg said:
For those that have seen the movie again on DVD has anyone ever figured out why Luke was such a fan of Just for Men in the force ghosting sequence?

Porgs are cute enough, I guess.
Ewoks are vicious little murder bears. Freaking cannibals are adorable?
This is exactly what I think as well. Vader even looks at the cloak on the floor like "wtf?"Brian Earl Spilner said:
This may be due to tricky editing, but I have always thought Obi-Wan's body disappeared a split second before getting sliced by Vader.
I think he "decided" to become one with the force similar to Luke in TLJ.

agree. It's one of those scenes where you really should watch the series leading up to it.CJS4715 said:israeliag said:

It's a beautiful scene from the imagery to the character development to the voice work. Sad that show is over.

Just finished season 3 of Star Wars: Rebels.
I know there are threads for that show, but worth mentioning here how good it's been. I was skeptical through season 1 since the tone was quite juvenile (especially coming from The Clone Wars), but the tone they set was great in season 3 (and starting in season 2).

There are some great shots in there, too, that really hit home that Filoni should be given a feature film, or a Netflix/HBO-sized budget live action series.
On to season 4...

I'd be happy if Disney just went ahead and claimed the PT was not canon, and that only the Clone Wars series was a canonical representation of the Anakin story prior to the OT.
