Any of today's panels worth watching?

I'd love to talk to some Star Wars fans about canon/non-canon stuff on another thread, but not sure if there would be any push.
Start a thread, man. Free country!
quote:I went ahead and made one that hones in on the Expanded Universe outside of the movies, but, obviously, can tie back into the movies as well. Wanted more in depth discussion on ideas, theories, sorrounding books, games, comics, and what have you within the EU either it be canon/non-canon (previously canon) stories.
Go right ahead. This is a broad thread for any SW news and non-specific topics. It meanders quite a bit. SW threads for specific topics make sense.

Any of today's panels worth watching?
quote:Well, I was half right on three of those. There technically is a new trailer, we just didn't see it.
10 days till Celebration.
IMO, this is what we're most likely to get:
- New trailer for Rogue One (Vader appearance for sure)
- Description and full title of the Han solo movie, maybe some concept art, and an appearance by Alden Ehrenreich
- Title for Episode VIII, appearance by Mark, Daisy, and John Boyega, and possibly a teaser poster. (Though it still seems early for that.)
- Surprise announcement of an Obi-Wan trilogy with an appearance by Ewan McGregor

No question that R1 will be totally different in style and look. True to the language that is Star Wars, but free to do it in a different/better way.
The Archaeology panel talked about this when making props.
quote:The anthology films having a different tone and style is something that was said pretty much from the get go. It's been something that a lot of people have been worried about. Over at theforce.net forums, one of the things a lot of people have been posting in dissent over the film is that it will be an actual war film and they just want more of the same tone that we get in the trilogy films.quote:

I do agree. I was rambling in my post, but I guess that I heard affirmation that we are getting what many of us want. So, that's a plus. Still ready for that hype train to get rolling... release the trailer.

There's definitely people out there who call themselves fans, yet seemingly hate about 80% of the Star Wars universe/films.
I don't understand why people who seemingly hate everything Lucasfilm has done since ESB continue to watch.

Wrong we had the "Chewie we're home" trailer even before this time... so its not the same as TFA.... the marketing for TFA was great.... R1 as of today has just become terrible.... and to marry it up with all the news about troubles behind the scenes as well.... the buzz around R1 is looking dodgy...
They needed a kick ass trailer... that's what they should of done at that panel... the fact they didn't was a huge misjudge....

Watching the Mark panel. How can you not love this guy?

I checked out this forum... never again. There are a lot of batsheet crazy people on that website who must really hate Star Wars yet have devoted their entire existence to it.
