The new Republic obviously developed this weapon as a way to generate life in dying solar systems. Unfortunately This Kyle guy and his Sarien buddies have hot their hands on it.

Perhaps the super weapon is the "phantom menace" of this story, and when the resistance destroys it, they think, OK awesome, problem solved, but the fact that Kylo is just one of hundreds/thousands Knights of Ren trained with dark side powers is the real threat of the new trilogy.

I'm intrigued. Everything we've seen has been absolutely top drawer so far. I feel like "Give the Empire another superweapon" is not a play they'll make.

Of course, that could mean that the head of the baddies could potentially be Luke...

Well from that one older shot it looks like it's the first order that has their base in the snow planet, not the resistance. Really interested to see what the trailer reveals tonight!

Still wondering if Luke is somehow needed to power this weapon.

Could this (weapon) be the thing that puts a major end to the battle (the battle that causes the star destroyer to crash). Luke powered it up, saw it's destructive capabilities and then went into recluse mode?

Anyone think it is interesting that the name of this new planet/weapon is Starkiller, which was the original name Lucas had for Annakin, Luke, etc before he changed it to Skywalker?

That short video with Poe & Finn:

• Cool look between them... we assume that one shot in the "making of" video was of Finn as a storm trooper escorting Poe to jail or something... and this shot literally does a full 180. Love it.
• Aliens in the background are extras with "make-up". Looks so much better.
• Finn... dude you are sooo close to banging your head against that X-Wing... what is it with you storm troopers and objects just above eye level!!!

If the new weapon is a Unicron it set us up for that Star Wars/Transformers mashup we've all been praying for.

I dreamed most of the night last night about just trying to get my tickets. I had my reserved seating theater already picked out. The website apparently decided to make people "wait in line" on their website hours ahead of time to take turns claiming their seats. I was #2 and was like "oh yeah". Then my computer logged off after sitting around for too long and when I got back on there were 53 million people ahead of me on the waiting list. LOL... made complete sense in my dream... and it also made sense to me that a logical strategy was to continue waiting cause I could still get a seat opening night!
