You'll have to watch it to find out, hahaha

There's just so many layers of visual bullsh** in the way
quote:If he employs that in these movies I might find my own bounty hunter and put a contract on JJ's head.
God, I hadn't realized the amount of shaky cam usage JJ indulges in.
BTW, the punchline at the end was pretty good.
quote:Wish he could have taken a bit more of a look at the clips we did have and dissect them the way he did Star Trek and Mission Impossible. Otherwise an enjoyable video even if most of the stuff he took issue with didn't bother me as much (though I can see why they can be movie cinematography sins)
Wow. I've always wanted to see someone really breakdown Abrams' style, and this guy does an incredible job. Just so cool and informative to see. Also, the narrator has kind of a weird delivery/voice, but his humor is pretty great. Actually laughed out loud a couple of times during this...

From some of his commentary, JJ is at least self-aware of some criticisms revolving around lens flare, etc, so I would like to think he will tone it back some and be better here. While I think he will certainly have some of that, I don't expect it to be overboard like it was in some of his past movies.
It never bothered me too much in his past movies, but I can see how some don't like it.
quote:I think so. But as that video said, there was so much visual bull**** at other times in the movie too.
Didn't he dial it way back in Star Trek 2 after some criticism?
quote:Finally watched this, really interesting stuff.

quote:Tuesday morning at 2:30am there's a replay of Great Performances where the LA philharmonic plays John Williams music, if interested.
I can't keep all of my threads straight but I think we talked about John Williams on here. I just went and checked out his resume because I've never really looked at it. Holy sh^t.
That guy is the alpha and omega of film music.
quote:John Williams
Followed closely by James Horner (RIP), Danny Elfman, Hans Zimmer, etc.

Williams has won five Academy Awards, four Golden Globe Awards, seven British Academy Film Awards, and 22 Grammy Awards. With 49 Academy Award nominations, Williams is the second most-nominated individual, after Walt Disney.

Need a drama/action rogue squadron series, then spin off a more lighthearted wraith squadron series.
quote:Money, not credits. Republic credits aren't good out here. I haven't actually seen that on a shirt though.
I want to own a shirt with this graphic on it. How many credits?
