It was a teaser folks...not the actual trailer...or even the movie itself. It's not meant to explain everything.
quote:We just got a monologue from Michael Douglas. All we know about the star is he was arrested, probably for loitering, and he meets this creeper who has been following him for some time!

That really teases the crap outta me. Im at full attention.
quote:Yeah. Marvel is definitely resting on its laurels and just counting on people to buy into it based on their built up credibility.
Two things:
1) that trailer doesnt give me any sense of who Rudd's character is. I have no idea why I am watching this film other than a dude proposes that another dude wear a shrinking suit.
2) wtf does this have to do with Avengers/Thanos/InfinityGems? This movie has the feeling its just a filler to make fanboys happy. (Oh look 20 secs after the credits to tie it together...)
quote:Someone needs to find Paul Rudd saying the word "director" in another role, and then splice it into the trailer so the last line Scott Lang says is, "Let me ask you one thing, is it too late to change the director?"
I like the last line
quote:
Is this a comedy or an actual action movie?
I was hoping for a spoof of all the super hero movies via a hero who has pretty awful powers. Based on that teaser, it looks like it will be a serious action movie with the same premise as Honey I Shrunk The Kids. Probably too early for any accurate predictions, but putting an actor known for comedy in a serious action movie as a hero with crappy powers seems destined to bomb.
Hopefully it is more of a comedy, but that teaser didn't seem like it with the prolonged fight scenes, ant-riding, gunshots, and monologue.
quote:Pretty big difference between Guardians and Ant-man as far as powers go. Quill has a team of intergalactic badasses and is the son of an emperor. Ant-man just does his best Fantastic Voyage impersonation and talks to insects. Plus the Guardians teaser was exponentially better than this.quote:
