Start this Sunday and honestly, I have no idea where the show left off and I'm not sure that is a good thing.

last season was pretty good from what I recall, mainly because of the Gyp vs Nucky storyline

Looking forward to this season. Hoping they will learn from last year and not spend too much time on crap stories. They wasted Gyp last year over Margaret.

yea Margaret's story line was terrible. I usually just fast forwarded past any scene with her in it

Last season was by far the best IMO. Gyp Rosetti was ffantastic and all of his scenes were full of suspense because he could literally end up doing anything.

Harrow killed a lot of folks too.

Also the world of the show was more focused on NJ/NY and easier to follow as far as the other gangsters are concerned.

Looking forward to what seems to be increased presence of Chalky White this season.

Last season was ok. It felt like the whole season was a build up (sometimes feeling random) to Richard kicking ass (which was awesome). Jimmy's absence was definitely felt.

Thought last season was hit or miss. About half of the episodes were just tedious to work through. Most of the scenes with Gyp were spectacular!!! The end of the next-to-last episode (when Capone shows up in Jersey) through the end of the season were awesome!!!

I liked the introduction of Joe Masseria in NY, the weasley government "agent" that Nucky was having to deal with.... They brought on some fun new characters, but dang they drug out the Margaret stuff about a season too long. She was brutal.

RIP Owen and Gyp!!!

Fired up for this season. I heard on a podcast that Margaret has a much reduced role this year

watching this for 25 minutes, then BB commercial free, then the final 35 minutes of this. Gonna be awesome!

WTF with that new agent...

Making a move to "get in the game" for himself I would guess. Kept wondering why he wasn't telling him about the booby trap right up until he shot the owner in the head. Then I had him figured (not that it was hard at that point).

Man....Chalkys guy absolutely gutted that dude. For some reason I had it in the back of my mind that "this is not going to end well" when he first started banging her.

Cool season premiere if you ask me!!

right when he was shunned from the meeting and heard of the booby trap I knew that was set up.

Now the question is what are his motives...to get in the game or to be a major thorn in the side of the bootlegger's.

I'm pretty sure he wasn't.

Thought it was a pretty solid first episode. Will be interesting to see Richard's story this season.

Also Ron Livingston and Jeffrey Wright give the season a lot of potential.

Good show but SLOPPY history!

1. Suppressors at the time were much larger and louder than the one used in the show.
2. The term Realtor wasn't coined until the late '40s.
3. Seeing a gynecologist outside of childbirth (obstetrics) was exceedingly rare. The pap smear wasn't even invented until 1927.

Yeah those screw ups really ruined it for me. Thinking of not watching now.

I don't think it has anything to do with last season. I think he's off on a "job" for someone (Nucky....Capone maybe since he's in the midwest/Indiana) but they haven't shown who he's working for right now. Was that woman at the end his sister? I think I remember a conversation between he and Jimmy about his sister/family in Wisconsin. I forget whether he said he was ever married or not.

Yeah that's his sister.

I need to go back and watch the final three episodes of last season. I was a little lost at times last night.

I liked it...good premiere.

Al Capone is great on this show as is Richard. Hopefully they have something big planned for Richard this season.

Gillian and her drug use isn't surprising. She's completed her craziness now. I like Ron Livingston's character, hopefully he's featured more.

I knew that wouldn't end well for Chalky's guy. Races didn't mix without trouble back then.

It looks like Nucky has made peace with Rothstein, Masseria, Lanskey and Luciano. Wonder how long that lasts?

that bottle stabbing was ****ing intense. But I almost hate that she ran off, even if that will help move that storyline along for the next few eps...the tension of him turning around to see her would have been unreal.

Anyone else think of Perd Hapley whenever they hear the name Dunn Purnsley?



The story of this story is: these names sound similar.

Lost in all of this is that she drew a picture assuming that Purnsley cant read

A lot of potential for this show to really take off this season.
