Great Finale.

As much as I hated to see Richard die it was the right ending for him. Loved the dream sequence with him on the beach as well.

Nucky is such a badass and absolutely brilliant. It's amazing how good he is at seeing 3 moves ahead on the chess board.

I'm kind of done with Eli, though it will be interesting having him in Chicago. He's just stupid and obsessed with how his brother is smarter and richer than he is while also continuing to beat him over the head with the fact he has a family. I would have been fine with him dying but we will see how he does in Chicago.

Chalky's storyline was the least interesting to me this season outside of a few moments. Maybe part of it was he seemed to be in all these low action scenes where I could barely understand him. I don't give a damn about "Daughter" either, maybe that is the issue. I just hated seeing him throw everything away on her.

I am curious to see how the Margaret/Rothstein thing develops, interesting how they just threw her in at the end going to her new apartment.

The thing I am most interested in is watching Van Alden and Capone though. Loved Van Alden slowly lose it this year and he is clearly turning full on badass. Capone is just going to be fun.

Looks like season 5 has the potential to be the best yet since it sounds like they are going to give Capone much more screen time:

I rewatched last night and had forgotten about some things, so my "lacking" finale comment is withdrawn.

My two favorite parts of the entire series are the "death" scenes for Jimmy and Richard. Jimmy's flashback to the war, after telling Nucky that he was okay with what he had to do because he died years ago in the trenches, was the my most moving scene. Richard's view of heaven, with a full face and his family safely together, is #2.

Reminds me of the incredible scene in the Sopranos during Tony's coma when Tony Blundetto is telling dream Tony to give up (die) and go into the house where things are perfect, only to be brought back by Meadow's voice.

Hated Richard dying.

Those 2 were the best characters/actors by far in this series, my opinion. I'm surprised that the guy playing Jimmy hasn't been in more since then.

Sounds like it's ending because the writer/director is going onto other stuff.

I guess that's good, let the show end with the original guy and not drag it out by a replacement.

Not happy with this since there is so much of the story too be told. Wonder if the final season will continue in the current time period of the show or advance a couple of years.

Crossing my fingers for a Capone spin off

Good way to put this one away. Fun seasons so far, but you don't want it to run stale.

I agree a spin off would be sweet. Lots of potential there.
