How long do you want to ignore this user?
Another very entertaining episode. I like where they're headed with Capone, Van Alden, Chalky and Nucky. I'm always wanting to see more Rothstein, Luciano and Lansky.

Can anyone follow what is going on with Richard, his sister and the tax situation? It sounds like she's mixed up with some bad folks.

It sounds like he was being paid to kill people and he didnt do his job. The guy who is paying him did the job and now knows where Richard is.

I think his sister was just broke

So Agent Knox is a narc and now we get Herbert Hoover.

Good stuff

So did Richard leave behind the eviction notice/back taxes sheet when his book was knocked off the desk?

I was ready to give up Boardwalk after last season pretty much put me to sleep... but this season so far has been excellent, hope it keeps up!

I assume, yes... the tax notice dropped out of the book and his "employer" found it.

Jeffrey Wright was awesome, the scene with his char, Chalky, and Nucky was cracking me up.

Wow, this ep really opened things up. Going to be a great season. Narcisse is definitely an interesting addition to the show. Van Alden at the campaign speech was hilarious.

Also, I might be in love with Van Alden's "wife"

Start of this season is awesome.

Can someone explain to me who was on the phone with Richard at the end of the episode? Was it the guy who had hired him to kill the two guys?

Pretty sure that's who it was. He was "cleaning up" Richard's left overs and when Richards book fell, that Past Due tax notice got left behind. So the unknown guy found it an knew where he lived and that he had been there.

Really liked that episode, Jeffrey Wright was even better than expected. And his interaction with Chalky was very Omar Mouzone-esque.

This season is off to a great start. I'm very interested in the Agent who plays dumb, and is apparently working for Hoover. Although I'm not sure if he's totally on that side of the law, or just doing whatever he can to get ahead with both sides.
LHIOB

I think he is without a doubt with Hoover. I think Hoovers denial of a lawyer just shows that these new guys arent playing by the rules. They will do whatever it takes to shut down bootlegging and organized crime.

Id love to see Eddie continue to rise

So....pretty much a filler episode.

As Nucky was talking to the Tampa guy on the phone there at the end, I knew the loud mouth little guy was dead....and I even predicted that the machete that he had been using earlier to chop coconuts was the weapon that he had used. But I was still wigged out by the scene. Something about that kind of weapon sticking out of someone's skull gives me the heebies....

Wonder where they're going with the Eli's son storyline. Maybe Micky Doyle getting in trouble for hooking him up? Maybe something to do with the FBI guy using the kid to get into the family?

And either Chalky or Purnsley are going to die this season...calling my shot.

Eli's son is going to slowly become a badass smooth gangster youth, much like a young Nucky. It will serve as the ultimate foil between Nucky and Eli, and the son will work for Nuck in the future.

That has been set forth for a bit now. You could definitely see his son going that route for purposes of the show when Nuck and he were talking about smoking and college and Nucky said "where do you think I picked up all my bad habits?"

"Maybe something to do with the FBI guy using the kid to get into the family?"

I think this is the correct theory for Eli's son.

yeah, I could also see that route for his storyline also.

Micky is not long for this world I fear. He does crack me up though.

I missed the Capones this week. Stephen Graham is killing it...pun intended

Love seeing Richard back...and cracking jokes! His character is one of the more creative characters in recent memory. I can see him taking on a "Fist Full of Dollars" role where he works for everyone. Being in Wisconsin it would seem that Chicago is the next stop.

Gillian is a mess. She is going to bottom out and call Nucky to help getting Ron Livingstons character unwillingly involved. I wonder if killing that boy will come back to haunt her or if that was just a reason to have her shoot up in the bathroom...

I wish they werent competing with Breaking Bad because this show isnt getting enough talk.

I don't know. I can see him getting in trouble and trying to turn state's evidence with the FBI. Nucky will have to put a hit on him--perhaps hiring Richard to carry it out. Lots of drama there.

I see those angles potentially happening too. I just thought down my road because Eli and Nuck obviously still have a disconnect...that disconnect being Nucky doesn't give a **** about him anymore personally. However, they are still family, and the kid looks at Nucky differently than his own father. I could just see that arc serving as the final straw between Nucky and Eli.
LHIOB
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Could Nucky talking about his "son" Tommy be some foreshadowing? Maybe he will have to choose between his business and his family. In the past it would have been business 100% of the time but now who knows.

Elijah's son storyline I fear is going to be lame and not relevant.
The Dr. is in. Great season 4 "villain" and happy to see more of him. He's smart and ruthless.

When the fed made the comment about going after the weak link in the chain I thought for sure he was talking about Eli's son/Nucky's nephew. I don't see Eddie breaking.

Speaking of weak links. Eli's son's friend/roommate with the glasses is going to crack.

I wonder if Rothstein is going to go nuts on Nucky and Meyer now that he has been shamed a bit and cut out of the deal?
Bunk Moreland

It's still 1924, right? If you know about the history of Rothstein, the gambling scene could be a foreshadow of his downfall, but that's still 4 years down the road at least in terms of history.

Nucky pants'ing AR at his own game was awesome, especially after AR cheated his way to a big payout / free booze in the first season.
