Whether they were idiots about it or not, their chances of survivng 7-3 were slim to begin with. And they didn't have to sway 2 people. Only one of Erik or Sheri had to switch for them to pick up a 4th and deciding vote.

The "still have one left" part assumes that he actually finds the idol. He showed us last night that bidding on that clue doesn't guarantee anything, although he would have had two more days to search.

It's usually not close. They get transported to challenges, tribal, etc. They don't want them seeing challenges being erects from camp, etc.

Yeah, I don't fault Malcolm for electing the strategy he did, chopping off Phil's head, and hoping to swing 2 in the aftermath. If the stretch run was shorter, then you consider just saving yourself and hanging onto the idol. But with 9 players still in the game, I think the chances of trying to convince a couple of alliance bottom-feeders to switch were better than trying to run the gauntlet with one idol (with no idea whether you'd ever be able to find another one).

Should be a great episode, there is a pretty big spoiler in the promo though

Cochran looking really good. I thought Andrea was his biggest threat.

With the double elimination, I figured Reynold and Eddie were gone. They tend to double up when voting is predictable. Glad to see that I was wrong.

Cochran is so close. I hope he can hold out a little longer. His comment about having to trust "the icecream scooper" cracked me up.

Andrea on her 2nd vote; "WHAT??????"

I thought Eddie was stupid to eat those million dollar donuts. If Reynold wins immunity, he is gone. However, it sounds like several people are keeping him around for a swing vote and they think they can beat him in a final three jury.

Andrea is a knucklehead. Cochran's body language and facial expressions while she was laying out her anti-Brenda plan were very telling. She had zero awareness that she was setting herself up for a blindside. From the way they edited the tribal council, it appears Brenda got all the credit from the jury for the blindside.

a) it's editing, who knows what their real reactions were
b) cochran can easily articulate what his moves were, and how he was able to perform a lot of the machinations without putting a big target on himself (at least til next week).

if he makes it to the finals, he wins. no question.

I agree, but I don't believe those were million dollar donuts. I think they were stick around a few more days donuts, and it appears as though he'll still accomplish at least that part of it.

He was right about one thing though - those girls ended up standing there for over 3 hours. He was never going to last that long.

Maybe I haven't been paying close enough attention, but the edit is partly what makes me think Brenda will get dumped before the finals. Maybe she just hasn't provided enough interesting content worth including and maybe I'm reading too much into the winners edit line of thinking, but I just don't get the feeling she wins.

With Reynold and Andrea out, Brenda's in the drivers seat in physical immunity challenges. I think Erik stumbles socially and gets voted out before her. But who knows? This has been an entertaining season...

I am assuming the hidden immunity idol is back in play?

I thought if someone took one off the island in their pocket it was burned.

Not that there's much time left to use it anyways.

Two episodes left: Wed, May 8 and Sun, May 12. There are usually 2 episodes on the last day, followed by the reunion show.

You're right...there are still a lot of people to send home. Assuming a final 3, that means 3 people still need to get their torch snuffed. Will they be doing a double again this Wed or sending 2 home before final tribal on the 12th? With the teaser showing this week to be loved ones day, I'm guessing we axe only one next week and then go into the final episode of the season with 5 people on the island

Regardless, should be a good end. As long as Dawn doesn't win I think I can live with any of the others winning. Pulling for Cochran, he's been by far the most entertaining this year.

Don't want Dawn or Sherri. She's boring but also somehow comes across as a B.

The following is the order of who I'd be ok with winning s26, from acceptable to outraged. This is not my prediction of finish order, but who I'd be okay with winning and not okay with (as if CBS asked me)

Cochran- I wasn't originally rooting for John, but he's playing the best game of the remaining survivors

Brenda - the edit just seems like she hasn't been doing much, but perhaps the switch in gameplay was a large part of her strategy. The whole Dawn-Brenda scenes make me think these two will wind up in the final 3

Sherri - this is the one where I'm sure most of yall disagree. I thought she was playing well early on when it was just newcomers (fans). Her ability to not really ever have her name come up within the majority has been impressive. I think she may be playing much better than we're seeing. She's primarily in this spot because she's not the other three

Eddie - not that I'm okay with him winning. I think the kids's got no clue. Who passes on an advantage with all $500 in their pocket, trades possible immunity for doughnuts, and plays with their hormones instead of their brain, or even heart. But he was aligned with Reynold, who I enjoyed for his sheer optimism and enthusiasm. And I wouldn't hate him winning

Erik - guy just drives me insane with his decision-making or lack thereof. I wouldn't hate him winning, but I'd be extremely disappointed with the jury for handing over a mil to a dude who didn't really play

Dawn - I'm on the record in earlier threads for loathing her. She makes my skin crawl. She did the first time, she still does the second time. Might not watch Survivor anymore if she goes home a winner. I almost stopped tuning in after Sophie won, and the two coupled together would most likely be too much for this fan

They can't let Eddie make the final 3 or he'll win - Reynold, Andrea and Malcolm will vote for him out of friendship.

If Cochran can make the final 3 in any combination that doesn't include Eddie, he wins.

And GIS Brenda

Brenda is more likeable this time around. I would like to see Eric, Cochran or Brenda win it. Eddie is a meathead. From the very beginning when he stated that "The young ones are the best looking and should stick together", he became a shallow, narcissistic irritant.

Stand by my original prediction...

Cochran wins. He's even getting the winner's edit in the show now.

Dawn will be in the final three because of Cochran.

Still not certain of that third person. It's normally someone that wins challenges. What is scary to me is that Sherri is getting no attention from anyone. She's an afterthought. Don't recall that kind of anonymity from a player this late in the game. If they can get rid of the athletic players and somehow win that last immunity collectively, she could be the pawn that Cochran and Dawn take as that third person.

Andrea and Malcolm were great for TV....but at the end of the day they got sent home for trying to make BIG moves for the TV camera.

What a better strategy...going home early?

Both of these players passed up some easy votes because they wanted to make a splash on TV.

I think trying to make a big move just for the sake of making a big move is somewhat foolish.

Eddie goes next..last real physical threat...cant allow to let him make final immunity challenge

Then brenda..she is a legit threat to win it all since she's made very few enemies

Then erik...same as brenda...

Cochran wins a very deserved victory

Don't forget Eric has been the decisive vote several times by playing both sides. He's got that going for him.

Eric keeps talking about being the swing vote and having all this power but he's voted with the favorites every time (except voting for Philip when he was voted out and it didn't matter).

I don't disagree with the move, and you could almost see it coming the minute she passed on the barbecue, but that tribal was ****ed up...
