That was awesome. I can't believe that Malcom asked for Reynolds and didn't use his, was awesome. He can now use his to get a huge advantage. However, I'm not sure he can win the jury votes. However makes it through from thevStealth R us, sans Phillip will win.

I was really hoping they'd vote for Malcolm and Andrea would go. She's super hot, notice the camera shot, but come on.

I'm dying to see next week.

He better hope he's S1 Kelly and wins 9 immunity challenges in a row. I don't see any way he isn't totally screwed- I don't know who could even trust him at this point.

I enjoy watching Reynold try to work things out in his head. He stares into space in confusion and you can almost hear the rusty gears turning.

I must be the only guy who doesn't think Andrea is hot at all. Something about her eyes just doesn't look right. Put that camera on Brenda instead.

I think Malcolm played that well. No way in hell does anybody suspect has an idol now. He is clearly out of the stealth organization and can probably arrange it so that he gets all the stealth votes next time. Then he can throw down his idol and get Phillip or somebody voted out.

I think it's funny how absent Ice Cream Scooper is from all of the scrambling and scheming. And then the only significant thing he does amidst the suspense is pick a bug out of someone's hair. Dude is very chilled out considering he stands to win or lose a lot of money.

I agree - don't see how Malcolm could have played it differently or better in that situation with the knowledge that he had. Still don't understand why Eric and Brenda are sticking with Stealth R US since they aren't in the top 4 or why Malcolm isn't approaching them instead of the two *****y women.

I don't see how he makes it to the end, but I'm glad to see him play at least another week.

Didn't dawn flip out on her previous season too? Have a break down and nearly go home? I eye rolled hard at that preview.

Dawn is annoying.

Eddie and Andrea's conversation was great, but if he hadn't tipped her off, then Malcolm's last minute move would've worked and Andrea would be gone.

True. And it shows the power Andrea has. Malcolm was right to target her.

Eddie screwed that deal because they would be closer to the numbers IF he hadnt done that. Now its a scramble, and even if Malcolm makes it to the end, he cant win.

Reynold and his Bros R Us had me cracking up.

The noose tightens on the 3 alpha-males. They have lost their 2 supporters (Corrine and her gay) and one of their idols.

Dawn is annoying. I hate having to watch her every week. Get rid of her so I can enjoy the show better

I didn't like him at first, but Reynold has really grown on me. I love how gung-ho he is. He's just playing with an enjoyable enthusiasm, and I like it

Reynold is a strong candidate to be a returning player in a future season.

No chance at winning due to being huge physical threats and in the minority: Reynold, Malcolm, Eddie

Very slim chance at winning due to their edit thus far: Brenda, Erik

Slim chance at winning due to being unlikable: Phillip

Only a so-so chance at winning due to being edited as a mentally weak player: Dawn

Great shot at winning due to editing and current place in the game: Cochran and Andrea

Darkhorse of the season: Sherri

My pick to win it: Andrea over Sherri and Phillip with Cochran voted out in 4th place.

(risky pick considering she almost got blindsided last night)

Since it seems like the Final Four alliance is Phillip, Dawn, Andrea, and Cochran, why are Brenda and Eric so attached to the Favorites alliance and not willing to switch over to Malcolm's side?

Because they don't think they are at the bottom.

Probably so. It's just hard to tell what either of them think when they say a combined 1 word in an episode.

I think Malcolm is buying his own hype and its going to lead to his downfall.

Go back and watch the tribal council....Phil and Andrea played him like a Fiddle.

All of that blabbering by them two was on purpose

Dawn is combining the whiny garbage with some efficient lying. The breakdown preview is probably because she was caught in the lie and she can't take it.

I expect her to go far though, since her core group will carry her and she is weak making her a minor threat since the lies are out in the open now. If she makes the finals, I hope she loses.

My prediction is that Cochran wins the whole thing. I don't think Phillip makes the final three this time. He is too confident too early.

My guess is final three are...

Cochran, Dawn (but don't like it), and a mystery person. I can see any of Andrea, Erik, Brenda there. They don't get the winners edit, but they are lying so low, that they aren't high on the threat list now.

cool

If the favs can manage to salvage a power structure they still have an advantage though they'll probably never win an immunity now.

That worked out well, but it could have been amazing if Eric hadn't mentioned the possibility of the three guys holding on to at least one idol. Without that, I'm not sure that the seven would have realized it. Great episode though.

It was a fun episode but I think they messed up with the way they brought the idols out. They should have left Phillip out of it so the alliance members would have kept going against each other. Letting phillip come in and convince everybody stick to the original vote actually worked against them.

Had they succeeded in getting the large alliance to question each other and start voting against each other it would have shown who was on the bottom of the alliance and they would have been easier to get them to switch sides to vote with eddie/malcom/reynold.

pretty sweet episode! the only thing that could've made it better was if Malcolm had held on to his idol. that would've been ballsy and epic

I thought the same thing, but that would be a pretty dick move to Eddie. He needed to act solidly with him.

I wonder if there will be any fallout from Reynold if it comes out he had an idol in his pocket when he asked Reynold for his?

What was the reason to reveal their hidden immunity idols? Just to create drama?

Malcolm and Eddie could have just kept them secret (but still used them) and still gotten Phillip out. It will be interesting now to watch everyone scramble and set up new alliances.

Reynold's probably too dumb to remember that far back.

Love the way they went about presenting the fact that all three of them were safe because it let them have a free window into the mini-alliances within the alliance - Brenda & Dawn wanting to vote Andrea, then switching it to Phillip. Cochran and Erik huddled up. Although for the life of me, I have no idea why "Stealth R Us" didn't just all vote for the 40-something Fan who is on their alliance now, and still be up 6-3 next week.

Are you talking about Malcolm keeping an idol even after Erik made the comment about the three guys possibly keeping one? Or do you mean it would have been better if Erik had never figured it out and allowed Malcolm to hang on to it? Because the way it went down after Erik's comment (and Phillip's suggestion that the seven go ahead and vote the way they had planned), Malcolm had no choice but to play it.

I didn't pay very close attention to the actual count so I might be off, but I think the vote went this way:
Malcolm - 2 (0)
Eddie - 4 (0)
Phillip - 4 (with Erik being the 4th vote)

Erik's vote was most likely a quick decision based on the idol surprises, and based on what we saw, the three guys couldn't have been counting on that vote. With that in mind, if Malcolm hadn't played his idol and Erik had gone along with the seven's original plan, Malcolm would have been voted out on the revote.

I really think though, that if Erik wouldn't have put that bit of doubt in Malcolm's head, there's a good chance that Malcolm had every intention of keeping the idol one more time.

To create drama and enjoy one more tribal from their overall position of weakness, but also to make the seven question just how unstable their alliance might be, and most importantly, to possibly make one or two of them quickly come to terms with the fact that they're at the bottom of that seven-player group. Making them face that reality in such a manner increases the odds of flipping them before the next vote. The scrambling added to their paranoia, no doubt. That doesn't even account for the fact that they also got to listen in on the scrambling and decide who their potential marks would be over the next few days.

Also, and the most fun/interesting aspect to me, is that it almost took the attention off of the three guys completely. Had Erik not straightened them out with his comments, there's a chance that six or seven of those votes would have been for each other, and the guys may have been confident enough to hold on to at least one of those idols. But from the conversation that ensued, the guys knew that they didn't quite pull it off to that degree, and they had to play them both.

Brilliant move either way.

I love how much of a Survivor fan Cochran is that he appreciates the game theory and history of the show.

I didn't see his first season. Was he very entertaining that season?

chip- he was at times, but he was so far out of his element, he was kinda what you'd imagine woody allen would be like on the show. a little too much self-deprecating stuff about how much of an outcast he was, out of his element, etc.

he seems much more comfortable (or at least knows what to expect now) and is able to just focus on the game.

I'm curious how much of the mid tribal scrambling will break things up in the alliance of 7... I think Brenda was seen saying vote for Andrea... and others were obviously whispering other names... it will be interesting to see how that affects how secure the 7 feel and how paranoid they feel. It was a pretty genius move to force the 7 to look among themselves for a vote right there at tribal.

I was disappointed that Dawn's previewed meltdown was over a silly retainer. She was really going to pull herself from the game for a retainer with 2 teeth... and it took brenda like 14 seconds to retrieve it...
