So, did he shoot him? Looked liked he moved the gun to the side and then shot.

Overall a little underwhelmed by the finale.

my guide says it is 2 hours. are they doing this sneak preview as like a intermission?

America's destiny is not of our own choosing. We did not seek nor did we provoke an assault on our freedom and our way of life. We did not expect nor did we invite a confrontation with evil. Yet the true measure of a people's strength is how they rise to master that moment when it does arrive.

For people watching such an intelligent show, you guys have been ridiculously dumb about this phantom 2 hour finale.

My wife just watched this season with me...I had watched the previous 2 on the computer...
"I didn't realize that was Malcom in the Middle's Dad."

"He's bald and has a goatee, and he's nothing the same."

Well, true, Bryan Cranston is a remarkable actor.

AMC has closed a deal to renew Vince Gilligan's dark drama Breaking Bad for a fourth season. The network is expected to make the announcement tomorrow, following tonight's third season finale. The deal had been in the works for almost two months, after the network first notified the auspices on the Sony TV-produced series of the pickup in April. I hear the sticking issue between AMC and Sony was the budget for the upcoming season, with the network eyeing a production budget of about $3.1 million per episode, while the show's creative team was pulling for $3.3 million. After weeks of crunching numbers, I hear the two sides came to an agreement, splitting the budget gap in the middle. Breaking Bad earned two Emmys for star Bryan Cranston and a best series nomination last year. It is considered a formidable drama contender again this year, with its nomination chances boosted by the fact that its third season culminated during the Emmy voting period. Gilligan has said that he intends to set an end date for the series, which would likely run for two more seasons.

The camera moved, not the gun. Gale is dead.

I do wonder if Walt killed Gus' guys because Jesse was "gonna get himself killed", or for the killing of the kid.

Jesse moved the gun and shot to scare the crap out of him, so it would be easy to kidnap him, and now, dare I say it, we have a Mexican standoff!

The producer says the camera moved and that he didn't intend for it to come across that way.

That being said, he also doesn't know where the hell they're going with next season, so, who knows.

The thing about this show is, at the end of a lot of episodes you have NO idea where they can possibly take the show. But they always manage to surprise me.

I'm not surprised to read that they don't know where they're going with it either. At least they're not lying and making it seem like they have a set plan for everything.

Seems to me they have a lot of directions they can go next season. You have Skyler breaking bad, Gus and Walt, Jesse on the run, and whoever those asian people were (a rival cartel?).

I'd love a Lost-like "flashback" episode to see the past on Clean-up guy and Gus.

I was a little disappointed to hear Gilligan say that they didn't really have a plan for the show. From previous interviews, I had assumed that he at least had a general outline of the overall story that he wanted to tell and he knew that it was gonna take four seasons to tell his story. Knowing that they're winging it halfway through the season takes a little something away for me.

At the same time, willingness to change does allow the show to look at what's working and what's not. It seemed to me like they realized how f****ng ridiculous that Cousins storyline was and decided to end it quickly and move in a different direction.

With that being said, this show is incredible.

Really loved the finale. I could do without some of the quiet time where they are being artsy because the show is so good without it anyway, but I'll take this one however I can get it.

Was Rubicon worth watching?

Just re-watched the ending on the computer and it's definitely the camera that moves so as to align the gun perpendicular.

At this rate, Walt Jr. will be 30 and play a high school senior.

Rubicon could be the best thing since meth and backseat 4andjobs, but that was horsesh/t sticking those together like that.

Why? AMC never advertised it as a "2-hr finale". It was mentioned here multiple times that it wouldn't be a 2-hr finale. The DVR guide was enough evidence to convince you it would be, so that it's "horse ****" later when it isn't? The budget is so tight on this show they did the "Fly" episode to save money, and you think they can actually afford to do a 2-hr blowout?

AMC only did it for the DVR crowd. How many times do you see ads flash by for "coming up next" that looks interesting, but it's too late because "up next" was actually on yesterday? This way, you already had Rubicon on the DVR if the ads interested you

Emmy-nominated AMC/Sony TV drama Breaking Bad won’t premiere fresh episodes for its fourth season until July 2011. That's more than a full year after the conclusion of Season Three last June. As a result, the show won't be eligible for a third Emmy nomination next year. That also affects lead actor Bryan Cranston, who won an Emmy last year and is again nominated this year and might have three-peated. To bridge the 13-month gap between seasons, the plan is to produce short interstitial mini-episodes of 3-to-4 minutes apiece early next year after the show goes back in production in January. They'll be posted on AMC’s website. “The idea is to keep people aware and interested in the show during the long time away,” Cranston is telling interviewers. “But I for one am eager to make these little interstitials important. I don’t want them to be simply filler or recap, but something that actually moves the storyline forward. If we’re going to do it, it ought to be a real part of the larger show.”

What's the reasoning on the push?

Will that mean a Mad Men delay as well, or will they double them up?
