Dealer will go after the family next, possibly?

You would think the writers would be above making the two brothers be such corny cliches.

^ Agreed. My one complaint about the premiere.

^ I Disagree. Nearly everything is cliche in some way nowadays. Writers can use characters that seem cliche and turn them into something very original. Wait til this plays out before determining if the characters are actually cliche or not.

After watching this I'm interested and entertained.

The wife knows. Maybe she will end up pressing him for money? It could be funny if somehow she accepts Walt, and plays the part.

Jesse is bad. Well, he's not just bad -- he's bad and he knows it. He's a screw up still, so I wonder what he'll screw up this season.

Walt is still confused about the fact that he's not a good guy. I think two things would pull him back into the drug manufacturing business. To protect his family (from brothers or the drug dealer), or if he realizes he lost everything with his family, so he simply lets go. I think a better story exists with the Mexican brothers going after Walt & his family, and Walt seeking protection from the drug dealer ('at a cost of making some supply' being part of it), or something like that.

Anyhow, should be interesting to see how it all plays out. Maybe the dealer uses the family as collateral, the Mexicans hang in the background and give some ground breaking twist to the story at some point. Maybe Jesse messes up and Walt helps him out, then he's back in the business. etc, etc. Just guessing and throwing things out for fun here.

The restaurant owner dealer knows that Hank works for the DEA. He will use that to force Walt into slave meth labor. Rehab has made Jessie accept that he is bad guy and he will push Walt back in but he will be reckless about it. Walt will kill someone this year. Not in the self defense sort of way he killed Crazy 8, but in the I'm-Heisenberg-I'm-kingpin-of-the-ABQ-now-die sort of way. I want more Saul and more Badger.

Perhaps this would explain the 2 guys with the boots from the 1st episode?

Just a little aside... Brian Cranston directed the Season 3 premiere, and I believe he did the Season 2 premiere as well. Never would've thought Malcom's dad was such greatness!

They're cousins, not brothers.

I don't think the restaurant owner will use Walt's DEA agent family ties against him - couldn't Walt just implicate him as the distribution mastermind? He's (restaurant owner) way too smart and careful for that.

they are equally in **** if it comes out, no way they will. I think the guy trusts Walt a lot more now that he knows he has a brother-in-law that works there because he knows that if he can keep it from him, then he is a trustworthy person....hence he offered him a job.

POSSIBLE SPOILER???????

heres a quote from Vince Gilligan regarding the fast food owner:

quote:
Walt also shouldn't underestimate Gus (Giancarlo Esposito), the fast-food franchise owner who buys his meth in bulk. "He's polite and soft-spoken and very businesslike," Gilligan says. "But as much as Walt thinks that Gus is a genteel businessman that he can talk and reason with, he will learn as the season progresses that he's made a deal with the devil.

Maybe I missed something but why is the cleaner bugging Walt's house? Gus is controlling the cousins since he called off the hit and he is working with the guy bugging the house since the that guy called him. So, what's the deal there? And it seemed like the cleaner and the cousins didn't know about each other?

How was Jesse able to just spend the cash on the house without it being traced etc? Just out of curiosity.

Other than that, I hate the wait each week for episodes.

another great one,

what was Walt doing at his house anyway?

How long do you want to ignore this user?
cyprian...i sort of figured that, they went into details about how Walt did it, yet skipped over anything regarding Jesse's money, and they showed obviously it was still in cash. I just dont see how you can "justify" to the IRS how you got all that money, especially since its still in cash....

Whoever did the makeup for this episode did a great job on the scene after Walt was pepper sprayed.

"Dad didn't come in until 4th period and he looked like he had been crying."

hahaha.

I thought he was probably doing something drastic like trying to move back in by just showing like that. Or, maybe just to get a feeling of what once was by being back home and showering.
