How long do you want to ignore this user?
I stopped right when I saw a post date as 10/19. I watched the ep on DVR over lunch break and now I'm caught up.

I don't think we're seeing this all the same. From what I saw a few minutes ago, Deb was in the stomach, from the front. Lundy caught two in the back. The killer was behind Lundy at this point. Also, he got to Lundy's body pretty quick without having to step over Deb.

Lundy was a favorite of mine Sigh.

Did Lundy have his wallet stolen or was it the recorder that he was talking to describing Trinity after he got on the bus? I mean, what if Trinity got on the bus and saw that...I would take that thing too. I'm just saying.

The shooter found it very quickly, which leads me to believe that it was his wallet.

The recorder probably would've been in his jacket pocket or somewhere else. Since they knew exactly where to find it, I assume it was his wallet.

I still don't think this was trinity. There have been no indications that he would stray from his pattern. The same 3 murders over and over.

If it was Trinity, taking the wallet might be a cover. Make it look like a robbery turned violent. It was hard to tell whether he took the recorder, his wallet, or both. I'm siding with both if it's Trinity (possible) masquerading as the vacation killer.

TMoney2007 --
If it was in the act of self preservation, he would probably break from his mold, at least temporarily.

Trinity has never come close to being caught. In fact, he had no idea that anyone was hunting him and had any idea about the connection of his murders until he saw the newspaper articles. He panicked in my opinion.

That's what it looked like, but Lundy got the worried look on his face looking over Deb's shoulder right before they were shot, which would lead you to believe he saw the shooter behind Deb.

I dont care too much for Lundy so i wont really miss him. He just annoyed me, i dont know why.

Unfortunately the one who survives is Debrah.

Thats what I remember seeing. Lundy looked shocked just before deb was shot.

As I understood it, lundy and deb are facing each other. lundy looks shocked, then deb is shot. Deb looks down and sees blood on her hand coming from her abdomen. lundy is then shot twice. both fall to the ground and the shooter steals a wallet/recorder from lundy and runs off. Pan out from above with them facing each other.

did he look shocked? or did he look like he was surprised/trying to focus in on someone?

It is not out of realm of possibility that a killer changes his ritual to be self-serving or self-preserving, Dexter, Brian both did.

Dittos to the "unfortunately Deb survives" post.

I kind of think the whole Deb getting shot might be an F you to everyone who hopes she would get killed off. Just a big tease, but maybe she'll be in the episodes a little less for a few weeks.

What I don't understand is why not make sure Deb is dead too? Whether it is the vacation killer or the Trinity killer (especially him).

What exactly was stolen will be interesting. If it's the recorder there is no link to the vacation killer at all. If it is Trinity taking the wallet, why not at least look for the recorder (may be in the apartment). Or, maybe that's where he goes next.

Dexter's answering machine has some evidence of Trinity. Dexter cut off the recording, so we do not know about the physical description being disclosed...but Trinity will be on Dexter's radar now.

I think they want you to think it was trinity to drive the plot with a quest for revenge.

I believe that Dexter will figure out that the vacation killers or antan shot deb and he gets his revenge there and then continues to pursue trinity.

Of course on the other hand, Dexter talks about trinity almost like he admires him. I think he seems to admire the fact that he and trinity are so much the same inside, while their monsters manifest in diametrically opposed ways. They both have an insatiable urge to kill, Dexter blends into society by faking relationships and killing those that deserve it, trinity disappears but makes his kills known.

Could revenge be the thing that makes Dexter kill the guy he kind of wishes to be?

let's talk about the other cliffhanger as well.

what does rita find at dexters apartment?
SnakePliskin
How long do you want to ignore this user?
The Rita cliffhangers have been much ado about nothing IMHO.

When she is with the cop and turns around shocked - turns out she was at a homeowners meeting about vandals.

When she catches him with the rake knocking out the booger lights on the neighbor's house -turns out she takes the kids on vacation to give Dexter a break.

If I remember correctly, the faucet leak we saw turns into a big leak and their house is called to repair it. She is none too happy to find out he still has his bachelor pad after he told her he got rid of it. He has some 'splannin to do.

Dexter admires Trinity more for the fact that he's been killing for thirty years with no one (except Lundy, and he only had theories) coming close to identifying him, or even knowing it was the work of a serial killer.

Dexter's come much closer to being caught than Trinity (Season 2).

Did they show that in the preview? I must have missed it.

It was when Lundy called Dexter trying to get ahold of Deb. Before Dexter cut it off, he mentioned he saw something/had a lead of sorts.

I never saw the preview. Dex's place gets discovered? Augh. More Rita drama.

If Rita happened to get killed by the vacation murderers I wouldn't have a problem with it.

This is what frustrates me if they go this way. They did the same thing in season 1. Dexter sees this serial killer that he really admires how he works. Then he is forced to make a choice because of Debra. Season 1 retold with a new serial killer ... Really? Really? Writers comeon. This show is awesome but lets try to not just rehash what has already worked.

The big confrontation/third kill in the cycle can't involve Deb. Didn't they say that the trinity's kills were 1) Woman "commits suicide" in a bath tub, 2)Mother falls to her death, 3)*Man* gets bludgeoned to death?

How about Deb's partner as the third victim?

Dear showtime....

STOP FOOKING KILLING KEITH CARRADINE.

First we kill wild bill hikok in Deadwood too fast. Then we excite everyone and bring Lundy back, even tease us with some more smooth Lundy relationship stuff...and then BAM.

Eff you Showtime. Eff you.

Holy crap. I had no idea he was David Carradine's brother. Now that it has been said, I have no idea how I never saw it...

Now THAT would be a twist! (assuming the elderly thing isn't a requirement...)
Geophysics
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I don't think they ever specified the third victim as an OLD man, correct? The guy he tapped at the bar (insulted in the alley) wasn't even forty. If he's hung up on his dad, it's definitely something from early childhood, meaning his dad might not have been all that old.

Dexter could very well be in the age ballpark. Plus, at the end of the first ep, I saw a trailer for the whole season. At one point, he meets and introduces himself to Dexter. So I believe he might be the third mark.

what if Dexters house is the house the Trinity killer grew up in thus making dexter the mark-

how lame would that be?

I don't think they'll ever kill Deb off until maybe the last season. Isn't she married to the actor that plays Dexter in real life?
Ag20??
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I like the Anton kills Lundy/wounds Deb, becomes Trinity's third target, then Dex kills Trinity to get revenge for Deborah's boyfriend, then they figure out it was Anton who shot them.

Though I wouldn't mind Dexter killing Anton either. As long as one more worthless character leaves the show some how, I'm cool with it.
agjag06
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I think vacation killer. The quick shot of the "Bluewater Hotel" right before Deb knocks on Lundy's door was unnecessary except to show that he was staying at a hotel, not an apartment.

But, knowing this show, everyone at the police station will believe it's the vacation killer, but Dex will think otherwise, he'll get the real killer (trinity or antawn) and everybody at the station will continue to believe that it was the vacation killer, which Dex will also kill.
