This was a great episode. Several laugh outloud moments.

Agree w/ Rudy. I liked the episode. No matter what direction the show goes in, the Ari/Lloyd interactions are always hilarious.

My wife was an assistant at WMA. It's amazing how many people want that job. It's a lot of boring work; phones, contracts, logistics, etc. and pretty poor pay.

The amazing thing is that it is basically a four rung ladder. You have mailroom, floaters, assistants and agents(one or two of which run their department, usually). So if you're good you can make it to the top pretty quickly.

They get thousand of applications from starstruck kids who want to be in that industry.

My wife was hired because she circled a couple misspellings on the application. She wasn't a big fan of the job.

The sad thing is that they're not dumb kids necessarily. Average degrees from well known schools. They just keep having mom send them more money from home so they can keep living in LA, working for no money while chasing the dream. This works until they meet somebody or the money from mom dries up. Sometimes they get tired of it and move back home.

I used to live next to a guy from Maryland and a guy from Ohio who read scripts for a living. It's OK if you're 22 and are trying to learn the business.

Cue the *****ing about how the episodes are always too short...we haven't gotten to that standard complaint all season...

That said, this one was ridiculously short.

Nothing exciting to see this week, Sloane excepted. Tom Brady was funny enough. Ari beating Lloyd with a golf club was a highlight. What I wouldn't give to be able to do that most days...

Creepy pre-teen girl should be beyond thrilled to be accidentally confused with Sloane.

I hate Mark Wahlberg.

E pisses me off so much. He doesn't think he's Vince's *****, he knows he's Vince's *****, which is the problem. I'm sure he'll address that problem towards the end of the season.

Drama was better tonight than he has been all season. Turtle going from "suck my balls" to "can I suck your balls" was good.

Wahlberg was great, Drama is full of crap as usual, E is an idiot and needs to realize it'll never happen, Ari beating Lloyd --> a highlight watched it 3 times.

Still don't like how Kline put Ari in this position.

Does anyone else see the odd parallel between Turtle not being happy about being given 2 cars and E not being happy about being offered an amazing job?

They both feel like less of a man because they were given and not "gotten", if that makes sense.

I think it's dumb, personally. If someone offers you your dream job, YOU TAKE IT. Ditto if someone offers you your dream car as well.

Honestly, creepy girl is actually starting to grow on me. I find myself agreeing with everything she says regarding what E should do. The whole "should I stay over" bit was awkward and unnecessary, but she's right regarding what he should do most of the time. I guess E is finding a way to mess it up though, so I doubt she'll be around too much longer.

Drama was awesome this ep. Ari and Jeffrey Tambor was pretty funny as well (Can you confirm his scorecard? He says he shot a 55, course record...) Lloyd is gold as always.

Wahlberg was great. Turtle attempting to tell Tom Brady he sucks balls was classic.

My only complaint was its 23 minute run-time. I pay my HBO subscription every month so that I can watch new Entourage (and Curb, but thats not on right now). I expect, nay demand a full half hour of care-free entertainment

Do you think the writers are TRYING to make everyone hate E's girl, and setting up for him to ditch her for Sloan? One way or the other, either she or Sloan is going to be history after this season I am sure...The question is which one.

terrible episode.
turtle with meadow talking about brady was just uncomfortably bad. turtle acting starstruck around brady was only slightly less bad.
eric feeling sorry for himself was old. eric calling new girl sloan was also forced.

drama was great for the first time in a while and the ari/lloyd stuff was great as usual.

also, jeffrey tambour was great as well.

Honestly, there has been some solid movies on HBO lately. If you're only watching Entourage & Curb reruns, you're definitely missing out.
