The point is to participate so I don't get why they would join if they aren't going to participate. It isn't hard. Lurker vs. regular poster could be an issue in it. But like if you're gonna jump in, get in it. I've had so much fun with the random questions and shopping for Claude was easy because he participates.

Yeah, not posting much can be negated by participating in the thread, adding to wishlist, and answering questions…and the same in reverse. If I'm really familiar with a poster or friends with them, I can do one or two things that I know about them as a joke or whatever
