This.

240 million invested wisely in a diversified portfolio will yield more over 30 years than 30 years of Annuity payments.

All they do when you take the Annuity option is invest the lump sum amount, use the interest to pay you your regular payments, and keep any extra for themselves.

Why wouldn't you want to oversee the investments yourself and keep all of the interest?
