A Russian airline went down in the 90's because the pilot let his kid "fly" the plane and sit in the cockpit . The G forces didn't allow the pilot to get back in the seat and gain control. Everyone on board died.

Could happen again.

They were leaving airspace controlled by that tower . That sort of goodbye is typical. Listen to an ATC feed on the internet. They say "good day" and "goodnight" all the time. News is just trying to generate clicks with a sensational headline.

this is odd though, its pretty much on course and it just now got spotted?

I'm thinking NoKo or China had something to do with this thing going down, got in there to steal blackboxes and transponders etc...and then reported the site now. Or something like that.

I still can't believe it. such a heavily populated and heavily trafficked area and we still haven't found it, yet we found the air France one within a day or so. makes you think someone is deliberately trying to hide it, or it really did turn and head to the middle of the Indian Ocean.
