We're back to the team that started the season. Only Meuth/Lednicky doing anything. Can't find a consistent OH2 and no help from the middles though they had few chances given the poor quality serve receive. Blocking seems to be feast or famine. Need to be able to consistently get solid block touches to slow it down for the defense to get a good pass.

Did you know that the biggest win of the season neither Lednicky nor Meuth was the kill leader for the team

So while they are the two studs we need production from other places. Which also means you have to set other players besides those two

Oh I agree with this 100%! Not sure if you watched the match but they tried the middle over and over and over and it was super ineffective. The middle couldn't put it down. Either 10 yards out the back or blocked.

or it can be exactly where you are in the lineup...but OH2 is who is opposite Meuth in the lineup in my opinion as well as what most people say when discussing a lineup

Auburn's strategy

That was an inspired second set. Blocking was very impressive. But .... unfortunately, we couldn't pull it out.

Aggies had back to back service errors in the 3rd set to allow Auburn back. *sigh*

Right! Thankfully I am excited for mens basketball, so Atleast that is coming up. But Buzz tends to be an end of season coach. I'm hoping for a strong start so I can forget about the fall sports.

Buzz is all we got going right now! Then I'm the spring, we have track and field, women's tennis, and baseball! I'm cautious, but hope to see women's softball and women's basketball get back to their winning ways!

But not to get off track here, but Buzz has created a monster! His team is going to be flat out nasty and physical! We came close to taking down Baylor in the scrimmage and Baylor is a consensus top 5/6 team! We're gonna be a team no one wants to face! Let's just hope they stay consistent! With our resources it should be like this in most sports, what this university's administration and athletics staff is doing is unfortunate! We need change up top!

One thing I will give Bird credit for is she is trying to find solutions with the roster and with playing time. At least she isn't just throwing the same 6 on the court regardless of effort and output.

Taylor - how did the women's team do against Baylor?

I'm dying to know! I can't find anything LOL! I guess we'll see soon! But I am excited! I just hope we stay healthy! The 3 point shooting concerns me because it might clog up the paint, but outside of Bowles I don't know who can extend the floor consistently! Although we will be amazing on perimeter defense and transition

Horrible setting tonight. Doesn't give it to the middle, doesn't set the block correctly, rough defense, bad decision making, etc. Elena has not been playing well lately, is there an injury involved?

The mental focus of this team is baffling. The ability is there, the IQ and strategy isn't.

I still love my Aggies, but this is on level with being as bad as football. So close and so far.

That is the production level we need from OH2 on a regular basis.

We also set the middle more than we usually do and we're effective hit about .400 between the two middles and very few errors. Too many missed serves I will agree with but the stats show a pretty even match. Just not on the winning side. Have Florida and LSU at home before going to Missouri to finish off the season.

Auburn coach has done a fantastic job with a lot of freshman in the lineup. Played on Men Club team here at TAMU during his undergrad.

It's crazy to think Bjork sounds like he likes winners but is afraid to make the tough decisions, my brother could give Bjork advice, he's not afraid to fire people if they're not doing their job

Dudes hires have been nails so far

Bjork is a scared baby who thinks handing out extensions makes him and our program look more powerful and successful! Elite and winning AD's, are careful with extensions! Soccer and volleyball were the last sports that could ever use one. While Ut was rebuilding their softball program to national prowess, we fell behind waiting out a contract! And Bjork/Sharp have shown no guts to do anything to better this program! They will sit back on their hind legs because all our money is tied up to a football coach who is fighting to go .250 on the season!

There were several horrible service errors at critical times. Almost lost us the 3rd set and cost us the 4th. I don't pay attention to the rotations too much but Bowser had two horrible serves, one of which was at the end of the game. Lednicky also missed a serve at that juncture as well.

Mia did well but need to see if she can be consistent. That was one of the main issues last year. There never seemed to be more than one player play well in any given game and it always seems to be a different player from game to game.

Any update on who was the most productive ?

well Bowser hasn't served all year but I bet we ran out of subs and made a switch on who served for who with the Libero when we switched liberos in the third set. Usually Brown and Brooke Frazier switch and Brooke is a serving specialist. But that is two subs each time you do that and in a 33-31 match you have ran out of subs likely. I don't put that on Browser other than the staff need to know which middle can serve better and play defense in left back so if it happens again they are prepped

That was my first thought at first when Bowser stepped up to serve -- that we were out of subs. But then I remembered she actually was the 1st or 2nd player to serve to begin the match and she served it like 20ft out the back line.

Not sure what happened to Hogan though
