Not sure what offers Logan had coming out of high school, but she will be able to write her ticket if she decides to leave after this season. Transfer portal has impacted vball as much as any sport, especially with the high end athletes. Really hope we have a successful season and she's here for the long haul.

She's a fourth generation Aggie. Her dad was our deep snapper on the '98 Big 12 Championship football team. I don't think she's going anywhere.

I actually thought passing wasn't bad except for the two streaks in the third set

We got behind a bit in the third then came back with a vengeance only to have the back up outsides pass four ball in a row that were really bad in one of their six point runs to take the lead back. Put the starters back in at the OH position and we were able to recover and win.

Our Libero and one DS did really well IMO passing. In Hogan and Underwood.
Our middle connection isn't good and timing is off. The third middle that came in the set three did well but I don't have near as much of problem with middles defensively as I do offensively. That connection will get better over time. I remember Conner being thrust into the setting position and middle play was pretty bad her freshman year. Over time it became our strength of the team.

For us to do well it will have to improve quickly as the beginning of the SEC season is IMO the make it break part of the season. All the beatable teams are towards the end of season. All the tougher teams are in middle of conference and the ones that are likely bunched in the middle of the pack are at the beginning. This is where we need to shine. It could be the difference between say 4th to even 9/10th in conference. We might be the best back row attack team in the conference this season. Especially if we get Meuth to get a few more swings from beyond the attack line.

We played with backup setter in set three and after the initial nerves maybe she did well. Connection wasn't there at beginning and a couple of sets were too tight but I thought she brought her level of play up as the set went on. The six or seven point run that Sam had was all about passing or lack there of.

We play Louisiana on Friday and next week a tourney where if we go 3-0 against a Big10 team and Western Kentucky we will be fairly strong going into conference play.

I think everyone has said exactly what Lednicky does for this team so no additional notes from me other than if we play like we did in set two those are the times we can give her a break and play a DS for back row occasionally which will help long term of the course of the season. Small mistakes and runs by the opponent won't allow us to take her off the floor this season. She should only be off the floor when game is in hand like maybe during set two was. She is too valuable. She has a strong case for NFOY but the team has to make the NCAA tourney. While not required it is almost a necessity for that to occur

This is the fifth year of her five year contract. She has not been extended, and the way Bjork has done things so far in other sports, it kind of makes some think she will just finish her contract and then not given another one.
