We have a current sandwich schedule. The bread are the winnable games with average effort. Alabama and Missouri *2.

The meat is Auburn *2, Florida and LSU

How does a bad loss affect RPI versus a good win? We do have some good matches coming up still.

The committee will definitely take it into account. We only have one good win against Kentucky, nothing else really helps. LSU could be a decent push, but any further losses and were absolutely done. I don't know if there is enough there to sneak us in

No reason to lose to that team at home. I haven't seen a team in the SEC be that mediocre in out of system play and they beat us 3-1. We couldn't handle the top spin serve by the one girl. She went in numerous runs and then they picked on Lexi in serve receive until she was replaced.

That should put the mail in the coffin for any post season play. We will have to go 5-1 IMO to have a shot and one of those wins needs to be Florida.

Think she has two more years. The way I would play it as AD would be to see what happens once the season is over. If there is another mass exodus, it's time for the coach to go. Maybe if she loses Lednicky, also time to pack it up. I know everyone has said Lednicky isn't going anywhere but when you are that good, ambition will weigh heavily against sitting at the bottom of the SEC pool.

If the team stays intact, I think there is a solid foundation of players that can be built upon and I honestly would give Bird one more year. I don't know who we have committed or who we can pick up from the portal though. If new top talent isn't coming in, I'd go ahead and cut her loose as well.

That said, there was some perceived (or maybe firsthand) knowledge of the internal affairs of the program last year and if it really is bad because of the coach, hopefully the AD will make the right call.

Don't get me wrong. I would shed no tears if we move on now.
But I do recognize that she finally got some players that could be a foundation and even through the losses, I've enjoyed watching this group way more than last year's.
