On Norm and D, Saad said he's hearing "retread" and that it'll probably be DeBoer.

Now that the Spitfires season is over, Savard has met or will meet with Dallas and at least one other team. If we let him go to another team and take DeBoer, Jim Nill better pray for a deep playoff run next season, or he'll be reassigned.
With that said, officially meeting with Savard is a good sign. Hopefully he impresses and turns the tide that seems to be favoring DeBoer.

DeBoer it is.
I'm going to try my best to be optimistic, but it's really hard to be excited by this.

If so it will be the same stale Stars. I will give him a chance, but will be very disappointed as well.

Quote:
DeBoer had a 98-50-12 record in three seasons with Vegas, ranking 10th in that span. His teams ranked 11th in scoring at 3.27 goals per game, seventh in goals against at 2.75, second in shots on goal at 34.0 per game and fourth in shots against at 29.0. Dallas ranked 20th in scoring at 2.74 goals per game and sixth in goals against at 2.73. The Strs were 20th in shots on goal per game at 30.4 and 10th in shots against at 30.1, so there is a chance the new coaching staff can bring more of a possession game.
Great signing. Otter as #1 and Wedgewood as #2. That's a great pairingFWAppraiser said:
Wedgewood has been given a 2 year extension. $1M per season.
