Last time Acquah messed up in the long jump she came back and broke the NCAA Indoor Championship Meet Record... let's hope she bounces back! With everyone struggling on this runway, her jumping on it is an advantage

Yeah Arkansas wasn't really supposed to be anywhere near the top... but they have still imploded completely. They got one runner to the finals and she was the last time qualifier... they still have the 4x400 and two distance runners but that's it
On the premium board after conference one Staff writer said we can't be considered elite like Arkansas, I was going to cancel my subscription right then and there... the Arkansas men are fighting to get into double digits and the women are fighting to be top ten lololol
Someone mentioned the slow track. The long jumpers seemed to be at least 6", perhaps a foot under their PRs. Is that our opinion, or is someone have some evidence to that effect?
The runways on the men and women side have been considerably slow... many weak jumps the past two days! Interesting to note!

I guess my takeaway from the Arkansas implosion is that they load up on events that very few others in the SEC are competitive in but in which they are only mediocre on a national scale. Is that a fair summary?
Exactly! The SEC is not huge in distance and that's where Arkansas thrives. Come regionals they got one girl through in the 1500, one in the 5000, and one in the 10000! It's the same story every year... they have the 5th-8ths and can't do well at nationals... I'll take the national meet everytime
I agree. I think when A&M was winning both men's and women's NCAA meets in the same year, we didn't win the conference meet and that was in the Big whatever.

Exactly you can split up your scholarships to get a bunch of good athletes or use them to get elite athletes...
