Seems like Dallas Skyline, many moons ago, won the 4x100, x200, x400, and just those points were enough to give them the state meet title.

I don't think so, unless USC falls apart. With Cockrell, Terry, and their relays they should be over 60! We need to hope Gittens can win two events today, Mu wins, our relay wins, and Distin and Acquah medal!

Thanks,

I did go to HS meet this year that was all relays and field events were scored as total distance of three. It was different but interesting. The last event was 4X400 2 girls, 2 guys. I liked that one. A 100, 100, 200, 400. Also had hurdle relays and distance medleys.

Now Eikeng of Washington can get the javelin out around 160-170 and Atherley of Miami can barely get it around 115-120! So Tyra should extend her lead over Atherley and Eikeng will make up some ground, but she runs slower than Tyra in the 800, so looks like we get our 10 points here!

Gittens leads Marsh by 444. Marsh's best 800 is 148 points better than Gittens. But her jav is worse.

Gittens leads Atherley by 416. Atherley's best 800 is 208 points better than Gittens. But her jav is worse.

Gittens is in really good shape to win.

Heptathlon Javelin will be at 2:15, then the Open High Jump at 4:30, and then the Heptathlon 800 at 6:45! Hopefully the javelin goes quickly and she gets about an hour to rest before a competitive high jump

121'6 for Tyra as someone who usually opens the javelin in the 90's or low 100's and builds her way up, it's a great start!
