Thanks for posting '44! It reminds me why I chose to be a Texas Aggie!. That first pic of Kyle looks as if it were taken yesterday. Clear as day. And the Bon Fire pics are so great to see. We need that back on campus ASAP. I second the comment about the ME 109's too. I am an aviation history buff as well. Very interesting to see that. Thanks for your service and Gig 'em!

Simply amazing. When looking at the 1941 bonfire pics I couldn't help but think of how the lives of those young men were forever changed a short time later.

Thanks for sharing 1944, but most of all thank you for your service and sacrifice for our country and freedom. I am forever grateful.

To those of you wondering why there were so many empty seats in Kyle Field on 1940:
When I was a Fish at A&M in 1956, the student body numbered about 6,000. Plus, in the 1940's there were much fewer people willing, or able, to travel long distances to go to a football game. Very few came from out of state as happens today. This is probably a few of the reasons games were not a sell out.
