In a rematch of a tightly-contest Saturday ballgame, Texas A&M softball had no answers for mighty Oklahoma in the final of the Norman Regional as the top-ranked Sooners run-ruled the Aggies, 20-0. The loss brings Texas A&M's 2022 season to a close.

With Saturday afternoon's rally coming up just short against #1 Oklahoma, Aggie softball pieced together a comeback win in its evening rematch against Minnesota to avoid elimination and advance to the Norman Regional final with Jo Evans' 1,300th career victory.

After taking the first two games of the weekend, Jo Evans and the Aggies eyed the series sweep on Sunday, but Montana Fouts and No. 2 Alabama had other plans as the Crimson Tide salvaged the finale by defeating Texas A&M, 4-2.

All it took was five innings for Texas A&M to knock off No. 2 Alabama yet again and secure the program's first series victory over the Crimson Tide. Makinzy Herzog dominated in the circle and also provided the walk-off RBI single to complete the historic night for the Aggies.
