Men’s Basketball (15-5, 4-3 in SEC)
Texas A&M’s skid reach three games on Wednesday night as the Aggies fell to No. 19 LSU in gut-wrenching fashion, 70-64.

  • A&M missed their last six field-goal attempts as LSU went on a 13-2 run over the final 3:34.
  • Quenton Jackson scored a team-high 20 points.
  • Andre Gordon ended a personal scoring slump as he exploded for 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field.
  • Baton Rouge native Tyrece Radford scored 14 points in a personal homecoming game.

The Aggies return to Reed Arena on Saturday evening as Buzz Williams & Co. host Frank Martin and the South Carolina Gamecocks.

  • Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CT, and the game will be televised on the SEC Network.
  • South Carolina enters Saturday with a 12-7 record (3-4 in SEC).

Women’s Basketball (11-8, 1-6 in SEC)
Gary Blair and the Aggies look to snap a two-game skid on Sunday afternoon as Texas A&M travels to Starkville to take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

  • Tipoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. CT, and the game will be televised on the SEC Network.
  • Mississippi State enters Sunday with a 12-7 record (3-4 in SEC).

Men’s Golf
Sam Bennett (along with four professional Aggie golfers) is currently competing in the Slync.io Dubai Desert Classic at the Emirates Golf Club.

  • In Thursday’s first round, Bennett shot a 2-under 70.

  • In Friday’s second round, Bennett shot a 4-over 76 and is currently sitting at 2-over, tied for 81st.
  • The projected cut line is at 1-over.

Texas A&M men’s golf will open its spring slate on Monday when the Aggies travel to Ponte Vedra Beach, FL to participate in the Sea Best Invitational.

  • The event begins on Monday, Jan. 31, and will conclude on Tuesday, Feb. 1.

Track & Field
Texas A&M is in Lubbock this weekend as the Aggies compete in the Texas Tech Open at the Sports Performance Center on the campus of Texas Tech University.

  • Both days of the meet will be televised on ESPN+.
  • Friday's action begins at 3 p.m. CT followed by a 10 a.m. CT start on Saturday.

Swimming & Diving
Both the men’s and women’s teams are back in action this weekend as the Aggies host SMU on Friday night for Senior Night at the Rec Center Natatorium in Bryan-College Station.

Women's Tennis (6-0, 0-0 in SEC)
The 13th-ranked Aggies continued their perfect start on Thursday as the Maroon & White swept another doubleheader from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Prairie View A&M.

    • The Aggies won the doubles point, 2-0.
    • Carson Branstine won her match over Emma Acuagne in three sets (2-6, 6-1, 6-3).
    • Tatiana Makarova won her match over Mariya Shumeika via a tiebreaker (4-6, 6-1, 1-0).
    • Mary Stoiana won her match over Camille Townsend in straight sets (7-5, 6-1).
    • Jayci Goldsmith won her match over Emma Honore in straight sets (6-2, 6-2).
    • Gianna Pielet won her match over Leopoldine Boisseau in straight sets (6-1, 6-0).
    • Jeanette Mireles won her match over Victoire Delattre in straight sets (6-0, 6-1).

    • The Aggies won the doubles point, 2-0.

The Aggies are back at the Mitchell Tennis Center this weekend as they host the ITA Kickoff Weekend.

  • The Aggies will face Princeton on Saturday at 11 a.m. CT.
  • A&M will face either South Carolina or Texas Tech on Sunday at 11 a.m. CT.

Men's Tennis (1-0, 0-0 in SEC)
No. 19 Texas A&M hosts the ITA Kickoff Weekend at the Mitchell Tennis Center in Bryan-College Station.

  • The Aggies will face No. 25 UCLA on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. CT.
  • A&M will face either Texas Tech or No. 15 Arizona on Sunday.

Equestrian (6-1, 3-0 in SEC)
After a month and a half off, No. 2 Texas A&M finally begins their spring slate on Saturday as the Aggies host No. 4 Baylor at the Hildebrand Equine Complex in Bryan-College Station.

  • The Maroon & White have won their last five meets.
  • A&M and Baylor matched up earlier this season with the Bears defeating the Aggies, 12-7, on Oct. 12.

Baseball
Texas A&M returns to Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park on Friday as Jim Schlossnagle and the Aggies hold their first practice of the 2022 season.

  • Schlossnagle and select players will address the media this afternoon prior to the start of practice.

During Thursday night’s Women's Clinic, the Aggies unveiled their uniforms for the 2022 season, and there are eight brand-new uniform combinations.

Softball
Senior catcher/utility player Haley Lee and senior pitcher/outfielder Makinzy Herzog have been named to USA Softball’s National Player of the Year watch list.

  • Lee was a Top 25 finalist for the award last season after breaking the school record for home runs (25) and slugging percentage (.955) in a single season.
  • Herzog ranked 29th nationally last year with 15 doubles and struck out a team-high 121 batters in the circle.

The Aggies officially open the 2022 season two weeks from today as they begin the Aggie Classic with a doubleheader on Feb. 11.
