Aggies conjure Olsen Magic to beat Georgia in walk-off fashion, 7-6

The magic has made its return.
After digging out of an early hole, Texas A&M found a little Olsen Magic as the Aggies scored twice in the bottom of the ninth to defeat Georgia, 7-6, on Saturday. Ty Coleman played the role of hero as he delivered the walk-off base hit.
"It has been a while since we've had some Olsen Magic," said Texas A&M head coach Rob Childress. "That certainly gathers a lot of energy and enthusiasm in that locker room."
Tied 5-5 in the eighth, Joseph Menefee walked three batters, the third of which came with the bases loaded to give the Bulldogs the one-run edge, an advantage they'd take into the ninth.
Nine-hole hitter Kalae Harrison walked to begin the inning. The sure-handed shortstop was 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles and the walk.
"Especially coming off of the series before and the Tuesday before, this was a real energy booster," Harrison said. "We're just kind of grinding away."
After Georgia brought in closer Nolan Crisp, Harrison later tied the game on a Will Frizzell hustle double through the defensive shift.
"I think that was the first game we've really come from behind and won," Frizzell said. "That's just a really good feeling."
An error allowed Bost to reach, and then Hunter Coleman walked to load the bases. That brought up Ty Coleman, who cashed in with a walk-off single that hit the wall in left-center to win it.
"All I've got to do is get the ball to the outfield, and I was fortunate enough to do that for us," Ty Coleman said of his walk-off.
Earlier in the game, Ty Coleman hit a solo shot in the second to get the Aggie offense rolling after A&M fell into a 5-0 hole.
"There was no panic in the dugout from any of us," Ty Coleman said. "If you let us back in a game, we're probably going to win the sixth, seventh, eighth, and we're going to beat you."
The bats brought the home team back after Jonathan Childress struggled through 2.0+ innings, giving up five runs on five hits. The Aggies utilized five relievers in the ballgame with Alex Magers holding the Bulldogs scoreless across his 2.2 innings of work.
"For the game to start so tough for us on the mound, we had to be almost perfect to even have a shot," Rob Childress said. "Each and every guy we went to bent, but they didn't break."
A&M tied the game in the sixth, but Menefee's command issues gave the Bulldogs the lead back late. Trevor Werner got out of the eighth and pitched a scoreless ninth, giving the Aggies a shot.
"I couldn't be more proud of our team," Rob Childress said.
With an assist from some Olsen Magic, the Aggies have clinched a series victory and will now go for the sweep on Sunday. First pitch is scheduled for 1:02 p.m. CT from Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.
