Women’s Basketball (25-2, 13-1 in SEC play)
No. 2 Texas A&M opened the NCAA Tournament on Monday night in Austin and took down No. 15 Troy in a nail-biter, 84-80.
- Jordan Nixon had a career-high 21 points in the win.
- Ciera Johnson (16 points, 14 rebounds) and N’dea Jones (11 points, 10 rebounds) each posted a double-double.
The Aggies advanced to the Round of 32 to face No. 7 Iowa State on Wednesday in an all-time classic.
- A&M never led for a single second of regulation and erased a 12-point deficit with just 1:27 in the third to force overtime.
- Jordan Nixon played hero in OT and hit a floater in the lane as time expired to win the game, 84-82. Nixon finished with a career-high 35 points.
- Ciera Johnson had 19 points, and Aaliyah Wilson had 11 points.
No. 2 Texas A&M will now face No. 3 Arizona in the Sweet 16 on Saturday night in San Antonio.
- Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. CT and will air on ESPN2.
- Gary Blair’s Aggies have advanced to the Sweet 16 in each of the last three tournaments.
Swimming & Diving
Shaine Casas became Texas A&M’s first-ever individual national champion on Day 2 (Thursday) of the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships.
Casas clocked a 1:39.53 in the 200m IM, which earned him the championship and All-American honors.
Casas also swam as part of the Aggies’ 200m free relay, which came in fifth.
Casas’ 50m time to open the relay was clocked at 19.02, a Texas A&M record - his ninth school record.
The relay team, which also included Tanner Olson, Kaloyan Bratanov and Mark Theall, clocked a school-record time of 1:15.79.
The Aggies currently sit in fifth with 88 points. The Men’s NCAA Championships continue through Saturday.
Softball (20-5, 1-5 in SEC play)
On Monday, Texas A&M dropped the series finale to No. 12 LSU in Baton Rouge, 4-1.
- The Aggies lost the series, 1-2, but were competitive in all three contests in their first test with ranked competition.
A&M returns to Davis Diamond this weekend to face No. 23 South Carolina in a three-game series.

Baseball (15-8, 0-3 in SEC play)
Texas A&M’s losing streak got extended on Tuesday night as the Aggies lost to Rice, 2-1.
- A&M only had two hits, one of which was a two-out, pinch-hit home run by Hunter Coleman in the ninth.
- Nathan Dettmer’s brilliant start was wasted as the freshman received no run support.
- 6.0 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 6 K. Dettmer’s ERA sits at 1.48.
A&M hosts Georgia for a three-game series this weekend at Olsen Field.

Equestrian (3-4, 2-4 in SEC play)
No. 8 Texas A&M begins the SEC Championships this weekend in Bishop, GA, at the UGA Equine Complex.
- The Aggies face No. 6 Georgia in the semifinals on Friday morning. The event began at 8:00 a.m. CT.
- A&M was 0-2 vs. the Bulldogs this year, but both losses were decided by just one point.
Men’s Tennis (12-4, 4-3 in SEC play)
No. 8 Texas A&M upset No. 5 TCU at the Mitchell Tennis Center in Bryan-College Station on Tuesday. 5-2.
- The Aggies took the doubles point, 2-0.
- Valentin Vacherot won his match in three sets (7-6, 5-7, 6-2)
- Juan Carlos Aguilar won his match in three sets (6-4, 5-7, 7-5)
- Noah Schacter won his match in straight sets (6-4, 7-6)
- Pierce Rollins won his match in three sets (4-6, 6-1, 7-6)
The Aggies host Auburn on Friday, March 26, at the Mitchell Tennis Center.

A&M’s Sunday contest with Alabama has been postponed due to COVID-19 issues within the Crimson Tide program.

Soccer (9-3, 7-1 in SEC play)
No. 11 Texas A&M is back in action this Saturday as they host Texas State at Ellis Field. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. CT on March 27.
Men’s Golf
The Aggies are playing in the Old Waverly Collegiate this weekend in West Point, Mississippi.
- The tournament begins on Friday, March 26, and will conclude on Sunday, March 28.
Track & Field
The Aggies are running in the Texas Relays this weekend in Austin.
- The competition began on Thursday, March 25, and will conclude on Saturday, March 27.
Volleyball (9-9, 9-9 in SEC play)
The Aggies lost both matches this week in Bryan-College Station as No. 7 Florida prevailed.
Texas A&M’s regular-season is officially over in the unprecedented season, and the Aggies will likely not be selected for the NCAA Tournament field.
