Thanks I was day 10 they made amd exception.

Last night was rough o2 would drop to low 80s and I would have to work an hour to get it to 90, exhausted.

Got my 2nd dose or remdisivir. Not sure if that or the antibodic is working but o2 holding steady at 94.

They mentioned the other treatment but said since I'm improving they will hold off.

Thank you all its insane how tough this is.

Praying for you!

Excellent health. No smoke and no cormobidities.

I did stop working out when I had a kid a year ago so I got to 190 and I'm 5'11 so I definitely have about 15 lbs of fat

Do you see a PCP yearly for an annual? I know the other ones hospitalized said that was something they had not been doing.

35, 190# @ 5'11" with no comorbidities is definitely not typical for the situation you are in. Glad to hear you are doing much better though.

OP was asking about hydroxychloroquine on the 24th. He may be out of the window for antibodies. They won't give it after 10 days.

Yep. And the same usual suspects on that thread were telling him it worked. And now he's in the hospital and yet they still want him to ignore his physician and spew their potentially deadly misinformation.

Agrebel08 started the hcq thread and never posted again in 4 pages. Nobody knows what they did. On that thread, most recommended ivermectin or monoclonal antibodies. many people can't get monoclonal antibodies, which was having great results.

Can't have that when there's vaccines to sell, so now, good luck getting monoclonal antibodies..

Lol at the idea that "they" have limited supply of monoclonal antibodies in order to make money on the vaccine.

We burned up quite a bit of our supply of monoclonal antibody treatment with the delta surge this summer (ironically many of those were patients that refused vaccination due to concerns over long term effects and lack of proper testing, but apparently they didn't have same concerns for antibody treatment).

Now do those that were vaccinated and still took treatments because 1) they still needed it or, 2) didn't need it but didn't have enough confidence in their vaccine to ride it out.

When I interviewed the virus, it didn't seems to care about my confidence level.
94chem,
That, sir, was the greatest post in the history of TexAgs. I salute you. -- Dough

Looking for data to support this claim if you have it (not twitter doctors)

I know several people who were double vaxxed (and overweight) that got Delta and went and sought monoclonal antibodies. I could be wrong but I feel like its fun to say the unvaccinated dried up supplies but I think, without data, an argument could be made that the mentally damaged triple vaxxers freak out at any sniffle and go get multiple layers of treatment and that dried up the MA supply.

Sounds like you're feeling better, hope you're out soon. I'd assume you've lost a few lbs too!

I saw a lot about it mid-late last year. https://www.nytimes.com/2021/09/18/health/covid-antibody-regeneron.html
https://www.webmd.com/lung/news/20210922/some-states-limiting-monoclonal-antibody-treatments

Someone posted on here about how certain states' governors were downplaying the importance of vaccination ($50) while encouraging outpatient monoclonal infusion sites ($2000). States with the lowest vaccination rates were among the highest consumers of monoclonal therapies.

I dont have NY Times. I will stop with this. This thread is about someone in hospital. We have plenty of other threads. I should not have even chimed in, I just saw another claim w/o data and inquired. Back to the originally scheduled program....

Encouraged that you feel well enough to be posting. Last September we had some pretty sick AGGIES in the hospital with Covid pneumonia, so I know that it can be a very difficult road to recovery. I am hoping that some of them can chime in and give you some advice because they have been where you are. Just want you to know that for right now you are in our family's Rosary. God bless and keep you. Will be checking in and checking on you.

I was one of the hospitalized too and have posted a few times in this thread. I was extremely concerned with OP not being on high flow oxygen with his O2 being so low. Glad he has turned the corner and will hopefully improve everyday. Continued prayers for AgRebel08.

Rebel, I pray that this new day brings you continued improvement in your health. I meant to post this last night but forgot due to son's basketball game, if you are able to you need to get in a prone position. If this is difficult, at least get in a side lying position. What rate of oxygen are you on?

I am almost the same build as you, 5'10", 180 lbs, no health issues, but I have a few years on you (47). It is a tough ordeal to go through, but you will get there. The recovery can be very difficult at times, but you will get there.

I have a patient right now that spent 45 days in the hospital due to Covid. He is now going most of the day without oxygen and is able to play 9-18 holes of golf depending on how his day is going. He has been out of the hospital for 10 weeks now.

My aunt was a respiratory nurse in Beaumont. 42 and in great health. Very hard body fit. She got Covid at the beginning and way before vaccines. She was in hospital and was just a day or two from death. They gave her remdesivir and in two days she was. 100% better and was out of the hospital in 4 days.
Being a well known nurse she had special care due to the fact she worked with all those Dr's and were all very close friends with them.
She is still healthy.
Listen to your Doctors. Listening to a forum is as useful as asking what kind of truck to buy. To many personal agendas on both sides to make good decisions from any of them.

That's good. When I was in the hospital with it, the first 4-5 days there was really no change with me, just kinda stayed steady. On the 6th night, I made drastic improvements all at once. Was able to get off the high flow at that time and on the 7th night I slept without any supplemental oxygen. Continued prayers for you. It sucks being there all alone with no family but know we are here for you and praying.

Don't want to scare you, but I do want to give you information. My cousin went through this starting in September last year and is just now coming out of this. The hospital kept wanting him to sign DNR orders, but fortunately his wife was a fighter and kept refusing. On 3 different occasions they had to resuscitate him, and without that he would have died.

Don't sign DNR orders. You can survive and they have the tools necessary to keep you alive,

Secondly, blood clots in your legs and lungs can be killers. Make sure you are on blood thinners to control the clots and make sure they are monitoring you for blood clots. If you are having trouble breathing, don't stop at their first answer, oh that's just covid. Make sure they are checking you for blood clots.

Praying for you friend.
