AgRebel08,
Have you had any budesonide treatments (asthma type inhaler)? I had a horrible cough in Jan 2020 that caused a vasovagal response to coughing, causing me to pass out. Between, budisonide, azithromycin, and a steroid shot, my lungs improved quickly. I speculate that I was an early COVID sufferer, and because of aggressive early treatment, the right drugs kept me away from a hospital stay.

Also, I have heard from a nurse friend that those on an intubator die more frequently, largely because they don't shift their bodies enough. So laying on your back full-time leads to fluid build-ups that exacerbate the loss of oxygen in the lungs. The nurse told me the advice was to change positions frequently to move the fluid around to allow fluid build-ups to clear more easily.

Hopefully, the infections have vacated you upper respiratory system, but if not, netty washes with diluted providone iodine kills COVID in that region of your body effectively (referencing Dr. Peter McCullough as have others). Prayers sent.

And if possible, monoclonal antibodies (eg Regeneron) >>>> remdesivir

Thanks all the are saying I'm steady had to take me back to 40 liters of o2. So a step back.

The covid is still spreading and the xray showed that.

Its been very hard today.

Listening to Dr McCullough while working and thought of you. He says to give blood thinners with low oxygen saturation, not Remdesivir. Around the 25:45 mark.

https://www.theepochtimes.com/part-2-dr-peter-mccullough-on-omicron-realities-and-vaers-reports-on-vaccine-injuries-and-deaths_4188071.html?&utm_medium=email&utm_source=promotion&utm_campaign=EET0108&utm_term=1for2M&utm_content=trend1

Stay strong. Praying for your recovery.

Dr McCullough says o2 saturation is low is not viral replication (and NIH guidelines say give Remdesivir ) . Dr McCullough says o2 saturation is low is because the lungs micro blood clotting. Dr McCullough says give blood thinners, understanding pathophysiology is really important because Remdesivir has nothing to do with blood clotting and o2 saturation is low in the lungs with clots.

There's nothing about O2 saturation that requires "microclots." There are multiple ways to have perfusion mismatch, and things like viral damage, fibrotic damage, along with cytokine damage to alveoli will destroy lung capacity. Where exactly is he getting this pathophysiology for Covid?

At this point in his illness, none of those are options.

For the most part, you are correct. I jumped in late on the thread. However, the idea of shifting the body to not allow for fluid build-up in the lungs is worth consideration, even if intubated.

Also, I saw on a recent testimony on how a guy in his similar situation being revived by a doctor utilizing Budesonide. He recovered and was giving speeches about how this doctor's intervention saved him. In his presentation, he chronicled his dire conditions on video clips, and shared his recovery clips after the treatment. I don't think he fell into the intubation phase, so hopefully that hasn't happened yet at this point for AgRebel08.

I should also say the first Budesonide inhale was difficult and mildly painful, resulting in a flurry of coughs. The follow-ups were much better.

It depends a lot on lung function. It's a steroid, so it can reduce inflammation if the lung parenchyma is in good shape. If there's a lot of debris, dead alveoli, and/or fibrotic tissue, it won't help much. At that point you have to get the oxygen into as much of the remaining lung as possible, which is where pronating and intubation come in.

You seem to have a better understanding of the human response to drugs than I. I do appreciate your weighing in on this thread, as I am only grasping at ideas based on some doctor interviews, some of which may not apply. I think we would both agree, "forget what's right, what's wrong about the medical process". Let's get AgRebel08 on his feet again.

Absolutely. I do think people have trouble understanding how limited our options are, even in 2022, once the body has reached a certain point of damage. We'd love to have a magic bullet. I'm glad the OP is feeling better today and wish him well for the process moving forward.

Surprising it hit you so hard if you're only 35 and vaccinated. This is a strange virus. There have been people in their 60s and 70s with barely any symptoms, all the way down to young folks getting hospitalized.

The vaccination offers little protection. The Pfizer CEO told us so.

Some of y'all are ridiculous. Just turning it into what you want to hear. It's pretty clear that the CEO was talking about preventing infection and even then it still offers some protection.

https://covid19.ca.gov/state-dashboard/#postvax-status. - I'll summaize this one for you because I bet you won't look at it. Unvaccinated people 3.8 times more likely to catch COVID, 8 times more likely to be hospitalized, 20 times more likely to die. This is updated with Omicron data.

"The vaccine offers little protection".

Unlikely because Omicron is well over 95% of infections even as of a few weeks ago. Sure it's possible, but odds are much better that he caught Omicron.

It's hard to say when exactly he caught it, but assuming late December, it's closer to 50-50. With the severity, I would assume he has Delta, though it's possible he has Omicron.

Howdy! I hate to be "that guy", but I feel compelled to ask a favor from all posters on this particular post. We have a very sick AGGIE that possibly came very close to dying. We have an entire forum where you can avail yourselves , on both sides of the debate on vaccines, to air your articles, programs, statistics, etc. Asking you to use this particular post to post encouraging, uplifting, positive messages to OP. Right now I believe what Reb needs is to hope and believe there is light at the end of the dark tunnel he's been in. Please consider and God bless.

Thank you all for the prayers and encouragement. It was a long 8 days.

I was just released.

I'm still a bit nervous as they didn't give me supplemental o2 to take with me. I had several panick attacks at night in the hospital in which I felt I couldn't breathe one time the gave morphine.

So hoping I don't panic at hometonight.

Thank you all again!
