It appears from reading this thread that it truly is an unvaccinated issue at this point IMO. There seems to be a few breakthrough cases with the vaccine that go bad but in general not many.

Dad in his thirties died a couple of weeks ago in my neighborhood. Left behind a couple of elementary age kids. Wasn't vaxxed.

A few people from my home town have died through the course of this thing. Most were older and/or had health issues. That was until last week. Lost a friend that was 48 years old with no known underlying conditions. It was shocking. He had not been vaccinated.

As for the vaccine side effects, I have only heard of mild symptoms in people I know.

Yes, My grandmother (94 yars old) got Covid in an assisted living a facility last year prior to the vaccination being available and died from complications. Very healthy, she would have probably lived to be 100.

I know 2 that died. 1st is a friend of a friend. No nothing about her overall health situation but she was early 40s and probably pushing 100 lbs overweight. 2nd was a teacher at my kid's school. She was late 40s/early 50s but again, I know nothing about her health other than she was minimum 50 lbs overweight. Only other severe case I know is a guy in the hospital now. He is also early 40s, 100+ lbs overweight and asthmatic. Not sure of any other potential comorbidities. Everyone else I've known that got covid (maybe a dozen extended family, and and good number of friends/acquaintances) all had little to no symptoms or had a 2-5 day flu and then done. Most of the "flu" types did some sort of treatment to get them passed the symptoms. Many of the others had no clue until they lost smell and/or taste. Handful of kids that had a what amounted to a 24 hr bug.

I knew Len and had several classes with him. We'd frequently meet up for beers on football weekends. Great dude.

But, he was also in poor health. IIRC, he had a heart attack in his early 40's and was a big dude- last time I saw him was the 2019 football season and he was probably 340# at 6'2" or so. I don't know if his doc counseled him against the vaxx due to health issues but he would definitely have been considered high risk. His sister posted on FB that he'd been battling some serious health issues for a number of years before covid.

A coworker's wife passed two weeks ago from COVID. She was unvaccinated and believed it was a made up disease (just a flu). She was 44, and thin. She got it from her kids that got it at school during their first week back in early August. She test positive on the Friday before she passed on the following Monday.

Wow. I'm sorry.

I just got word that a friend is sick. Male, just turned 40, thin and very healthy. Unvaccinated. Starting some kind of treatment today. Hopefully his outcome is better.
If I’m posting, it’s actually Mrs GeographyAg.

Yea great dude. Knew him most of my life but have not seen him in several years. Always regret that **** when friends die. I saw that post to and was aware of his ongoing health issues. If you knew him at A&M it is possible we crossed paths.

Also, and not directed at you, it is possible his sister reads this for anyone else who may comment.
