Indiana State. A northern team with a 10 RPI gets passed over. Did not see that coming. Wake, State, Duke...you could see where they had problems.

Just checked their RPI. 10!!

I wonder if they passed up hosting again for the special Olympics.

I checked the calendar and it looks like that is only a problem for the super regional.

Yeah, but I remember some kerfuffle last time about them bidding both or neither... I'm old so maybe I don't remember that accurately.

If not, crazy. Indiana State punished for more winning their conference tourney but East Carolina allowed to Host from 23 also failing to win the tourney.

Who's leg did NCState hump?

NC State has been in for a couple of weeks. They have been super hot and have great metrics. They started slow but ripped out up late in the season.

3 hosts from the Pac-12 / west coast

that should easily pull t.u. or TCU westward as a 3-seed -- maybe both of them

Indiana State should slot in as the 2-seed at Kentucky

I'm just hoping we aren't 4/5, or 3/6. I just don't want to have to beat Arkansas in game 1 at Omaha with Hagen Smith pitching.

OK. They can drop us to six, move Arkansas to four, and Clemson to 5. That works for me.

As trouble points out, we don't have seeds, just host sites. But we do have some "surprises."

Indiana State at 10 RPI left out.
ECU at 22 RPI (with their AD on the committee) is in
Arizona (31 RPI) and Oregon State (18 RPI) are in
State (25) and Wake (9) are out

Indiana State non-con sos is 19, easily the highest of the top 13 in RPI. Either it wasn't that important or the committee is picking and choosing which metrics to use on a team by team basis again.

You guys are cracking me up. Trying to figure out or thinking the 16 hosts were determined by some actual metric. And now trying to figure out the seed positions.

ECU is in bc of an obvious reason. Arizona is probably in for a reason we will never know. Maybe Indiana State declined.
