I will too. I know common sense says they'll pair us up like they always do but I've been thinking for weeks they won't send sip to us to get slapped around. They'll let someone else do it. If LSU sneaks into a host spot (can't see any way that happens but far brighter baseball minds than me seem to think it's a possibility) I think it'd be hilarious to send sip to the Box

I'd prefer TCU/DBU over the sips. But it's hard to imagine the committee turns down an opportunity to pair us. They do it in basketball every time.

I think 2 of Texas/TCU/DBU get sent to our regional and Arkansas. The other goes west coast

Only other reason I think they won't come to Olsen is bc it was BLATANTLY obvious what they did to the girls. They wouldn't do it again with the guys, would they?

Looking at the resumes again. Shocked Duke only moved up one spot to 16 with that win. I still believe they deserve to host over State. But the thing that really sticks out is Oregon State. The metrics just really don't support them as a host. You'll have to have since west coast leeway and desire to have a second Western regional to contort yourself into giving them a host.

It'll be interesting to see how they operate as an independent next year. Do they become a road warrior to boost RPI? Can they afford to do so without contract payouts?

Edit: I may have conflated RPI and rank. Think Duke may have have jumped from 20 to 16 in RPI.

Also worth noting that Texas has never been sent to the CS Regional.

Aggies/horns postseason matchups since we joined the SEC

2014 Houston regional featured us and the sips

2018 Austin regional we were sent there

2022 Omaha (nothing to do with committee though)

2023 our regionals were paired against each other and I'm sure the committee would have been happy to see us in the supers

Not to mention the various basketball, volleyball and softball postseason matchups

So they have never been sent to CS. We were sent there once. And last year if we had beat Stanford, would have also been sent there.

Thus, goes with what I have stated. Only paired with them when they think they will win.

Two years ago we were paired with them to play in the second round in basketball. That was the best sip basketball team in the last 10 years.

This year, they could have easily matched us up in a 7-10 first round game. But we were looking solid the last few games. Better than we had looked all year and were not matched up with them. And the sips team was looking average.

As far as bowl games. There were several times we could have matched up with them but it never happened. I think we were better than them most years so I doubt they wanted to play us. But I also think our decision makers just did not want to play them in football with how everything went down with us leaving for the SEC.

Texas' best pitchers are all RH. It's a great matchup for us.

A lot of the metrics have Texas and TCU as 2 seeds KPI Massey etc

RPI would have both as 3 seeds

Will be interesting to see where they are placed Most of the auto bids are known now so bubble watch isnt huge anymore

From a pure matchup standpoint I'd like them as well. They're a 3 being paraded around as a two. Hell I'm not even sure we'd get to play them as there's a fair chance the 3 could take them out

I just get tired of the contrived/forced matchups strictly for TV ratings. I know in baseball it's a little more geographical and therefore more likely to happen. But it just seems so artificial

I used to enjoy shutting them or getting them tossed. And got the Arky fan tossed.

I have been in the inner sanctum of sipdom since the 80's. Have met Dodds and all the usual suspects.
My residency room mate and best friend was a sip Cowboy.
Have been to ton ton of functions at Scholz's and the Alumni center. A lot of times we were the only Ags there.

And this was in the days of Sherrill so it was pretty intense.

Then on the 12th Man board in the 90's with the Warren Gilbert stuff.

They hate us with every fiber of their being. The only time they mentioned ou was before the fb game. I mean, they lived, ate, breathed hatred of us.

So I am very thick skinned. But just tired of putting up with crap from them in our stadiums. Especially the clubs.

I have mainly been around regular sip arrogance and stupidity. I'm sure the rich ones take it to another level of smelling their own farts.

Honestly, it's just whatever the NCAA's agenda is this year, but should be something like:

Again, Supers paired choices are numerous, but my guess is we get somebody like Oklahoma or Oklahoma State.
