None of them currently on the composite ranking that Massey lists. He is either just exaggerating/lying or looking at some obscure poll. (He also might be in Cali centric mode and not counting Oregon State (although that still doesn't match up with a poll)).

I wonder where Oregon State was in KPI before taking 2 of 3 from Arizona last weekend? They are currently 22.

Yeah, definitely struck me as a Nick Saban, "I know we lost 3 games but we deserve an auto bid to the national title" type plea where he stretched the truth at least a little.

Where do you even find the KPI rankings? I can never find them. The faktor page just displays a blank page for me. It allows me to select sports, years, etc but displays no rankings.

You have to select all the appropriate boxes, but once you've done that, it pops up the next time you come back.

Ok, here's my last host predictions. I won't have good enough cell service tomorrow to do this (maybe). I'll be at the farm through Tuesday without internet.

1. Tennessee (RPI #1)
2. Kentucky (#3)
3. Texas A&M (#2)
4. North Carolina (#4)
5. Arkansas (#5)
6. Clemson (#6)
7. Florida State (#8)
8. Ok State (#11)
9. Georgia (#6)
10. Oklahoma (#14)
11. Virginia (#12)
12. UC Santa Barbara (#13)
13. NC State (#15)
14. Indiana State (#10)
15. Oregon State (#16)
16. Duke (#17)

It could get interesting with a few games left tomorrow. If Duke wins the ACC they could be even higher but I think their run so far gets them back in. The other half of that coin, I think FSU's run has earned them a top 8, but it's likely guaranteed if they win the tourney tomorrow.

I think we're above UNC (or should be) given the Q1 record. They lost 4 series this year but played well down the stretch and won the conference. It was an uninspiring ACC tourney for them. I won't be shocked if the committee disagrees, but I have 6 ACC seed and only 5 for the SEC so maybe that's a political trade off.

Ok State finished 2nd to the Sooners in the regular season and whipped them pretty good today for the tourney title. OU won the regular season but lost the series to the #2 & #3 team. It think OU falls out of the top 8 and Ok State takes their place.

I could actually see UC-SB higher than where I have them. They've had a great run against pretty sub-par competition the last month.

I think LSU has far too far to go, but if they beat UT tomorrow their RPI will be right in host range. They're at #20 right now but that 13-17 regular season is a host anchor. If they win tomorrow though it'll be 18-17 I think.

I remember one year where the committee conveniently put the Big 12's hosts at #8 and #9

to guarantee one to Omaha

2019 with Tech and OKState

could see that again with OU & OSU

Its only a guarantee if they both win. Send them LSU and State as their 2 seeds and the super regional may end up in Starkville.

Also with OU jumping to the SEC, that storyline of final Bedlam series to go to Omaha might be too good for the committee to pass on

Is the "OU or OSU" Oklahoma State? Because if so that's bananas. OkState has ZERO chance of making the Top 8.

I'll eat that one if they make it. I still think it's a stretch but they've played well and everyone else played their way out.

Your list is what the seeding should be but UNC will likely be the 3 and Ags at 4 because that stacks most of the SEC on the same side of the Omaha bracket

In all fairness, I blew the TN prediction. They should be #1 and deserved.

I hope we see them again because we can easily beat them.

Is there not SEC reps on these committees to keep this bracket side stacking from taking place?

Sticking with my original prediction 2 weeks ago. 4 seed with sip.

I think we are the 4

Texas is coming. If they fall to a 3 seed then I think DBU is too. If they are the 2 seed then it'll be a west coast 3 seed

The Florida AD was recently added, iirc. However, I'm not sure he gets to participate in a discussion regarding SEC teams. I don't know how they handle those big picture issues. My guess is that everyone is aware of what is happening, that it's not accident, but when the SEC rep wants to discuss the issue of putting all our teams on the same side of the bracket, they either say we seed everyone individually and that is just how it worked out, or they tell him he has to leave the room, and when he does, they laugh about how they stick it to the SEC.

Stacking the National Seeds is one thing. I just find it interesting how they can get a couple of SR pairings including all 8 teams to be void of the SEC. Looking at you Texas.

No worries sips. Starting next year it's an automatic you get to avoid the SEC in the first round.

So is Oklahoma's resume that much better than Oklahoma St.?

OU has the regular season conference championship.
OU got swept at home by a non-P5 school who won't make the tournament.

OSU has a better overall record than OU.
OSU has the tournament championship.
OSU has a higher RPI.
OSU has taken 4 of 5 head up against OU including one in Norman and one at neutral site.

It was back when I made that comment 2 weeks ago.

Things, most notably oSu's RPI has changed a lot since then. Even then if you go back and look I said putting OU in the top 8 was a stretch (I think they were about #13 RPI) but that I felt the committee would stretch to avoid an all SEC/ACC seed situation. And OU had a nice RPI lead and easily won the conference regular season. oSu has since gone on a real heater and passed OU in RPI and has beat them again H2H.

D1's update for this morning... tu is back as our 2 seed. OU over OSU for the 8 seed.

Idk how well ON3 prognostications do, but they have tu in the #3 Kentucky regional.

They also have A&M #4, with DBU, Northeastern, and Army.

I guess we'll see this evening.

Ags better be seeded higher than UNC. Ahead of them in both RPI and KPI!

LOL at that projection

Vols, State, Ags, Hogs, LSU and Georgia ALL on the same side of the bracket. Whomever gets out of this will be the NC if this indeed takes place. Looks like a SEC west team for the 4th year in a row!

The only top SEC team on the other side is Kentucky who has never played in Omaha.

All we'll learn tonight is regional sites. Seeding and full brackets will be tomorrow

and Way behind them in NC SOS and conference championships.

If UNC is behind us it'll be because of Q1 record I think.

LOL I was joking Sean. If we are behind them. We know the real reason.

FYI did you really say their SOS is higher than ours. Sorry, they might state that one but we know that's BS. The SEC west is stronger than any other league.

Watching this ACC championship I dont want Duke in our regional and or in the regional opposite of us in the supers

Duke at 25 to 1 is also looking like a solid option like us and Tenn Kentucky and Arkansas to take a chance on
