If you have a big lead there's no reason to not use your other arms to get the win and keep your best reliever ready for a long outing tomorrow. Have to keep the bats hot to keep Aschenbeck in the pen today though.

I'm not the Coach and Schloss is way smarter than me so I trust his plan, but, just seemed like an easy decision in my head.
We're not here to win 2 out of 3. We want to win all 3. Much better to use him in a competitive game. Now if we're up big tomorrow going for the sweep then he'll yes throw him out there.

If we had a smaller lead or it was closer to the end of the game of the game I suspect Schloss would have gone to A-Beck.
