At this rate, they might have to play games at 1 in the morning
They need to move the tourney from Hoover. It's stupid to continuing playing there with these delays every stinking year.

The tarp crew (getting the field covered in those conditions) and the team mascots (slip n slide style entertainment after danger passed) were the real MVPs that night

It's not like there was much uncertainty in the forecast.
Was pretty obvious to anyone with a weather app that today was gonna be a wash.

Also worth monitoring for NCAA Bubble teams, East Carolina winning the American would keep it as a one bid league.

Really not sure how they are going to be able to play the whole tournament. They will have to make some format modifications like making it single elimination or something
The 1991 Baton Rouge regional (probably the Midwest II in those days) was successfully completed. They had to pump water out of the outfield between games, but they got them all played. IIRC, Baton Rouge wound up with over 100" of rain that year.
It's the only time I know of that play was stopped in a game because a ball disappeared in the mud... but the games got played.

I would be OK with this tourny being moved to Houston, Miami, Tampa, etc. in a MLB domed baseball stadium. So many games need to be played there is a tremendous benefit to having every game played on time and finishing the tournament games at a decent hour and also finishing the tournament as per the scheduled days/times. Having said that I HATE indoor baseball but a retractable roof stadium would be fine (which would leave out Tampa, that stadium is trash anyway).
I think it is only a matter of time before they start rotating the SEC football title game as well - Atlanta, New Orleans, Houston, Tampa, etc.
Don't think the SEC will ever infringe on Dallas and will leave that to the little 12 IMHO.
