We're 22 points ahead of Miami and Auburn.

Neither, at this time, would overtake us for straight up winning today but Auburn would be within 3 points and Miami would move within 7 points.

That'd put them within striking distance to push us to #17 or #18, based on other results.

Big games to watch:

Auburn v LSU at 1:00 pm CDT.
Miami v Virginia at 2:00pm CDT.

UIC v Milwaukee at 2:00 pm CDT. +2.5 for a UIC win, - 2.9 for a UIC loss. (Per Warren Nolan)
Gonzaga v Saint Mary's at 9:00 pm CDT. + 2.0 for Gonzaga win, -2.8 for Gonzaga loss. (Per Warren Nolan)

Also, per Warren Nolan, our RPI will drop about 3 points whether Mississippi State or Vanderbilt wins that game.

+0.8 for the winner. - 3.7 for Vanderbilt losing. -3.5 for Mississippi State losing.

That's unfortunate.

I fear Lance is right, 18 scoreless innings in the conference tournament is the perfect excuse to kick us to the curb.

A&M still has a very good RPI and a great SoS for hosting.

however the Ags definitely lose the "style points" or "beauty pageant" part of the selection process thanks to the last 2 games in Hoover and 21 season losses.

that's a bunch of losses compared to UCSB (44-7) and NCState (41-15).

need the 3 ACC teams between #17 and #20 to have short runs in Durham.

and to be safer yet...need Tech and OSU to keep winning in the Big 12 tournament
