Sadly, those black jerseys would look great on white pants. I just don't understand the departure of late. Baseball pants come in two base colors: white and gray. Period.
That uniform is as bad as some of those that Louisville wears on occasion.

We weren't expected too make it this far with 4 freshmen starting. They put up a good fight and had a chance to win it so I'm not all that disappointed. F Cannizaro he screwed this team and the university I'm pulling for Henderson to keep his job and be named the head coach. Rumor is Sxhloss was at the CWS and he & Cohen were talking personally I don't want Schloss he's got a good thing going at TCU but I don't think he could recruit for us and what has he won at TCU? He recruits the DFW area well but what could he do competively with an SEC schedule? Sorry but Henderson kept this team playing and they bought in how the Hell could you give the job to anyone else? True, BUT, Stanford, Ole Miss, and Stetson (non-SR teams) are top 8 and Miss. State is outside the top 16. As is Washington, but they're probably more like we were last year.
I'm also wondering how much the SR and CWS games so far have factored in to the RPI. Anyone have the RPI list at the end of the season?

I don't think Schlossnagle would do well in the SEC. His teams usually don't play well against strong competition.

How can you be in a weather delay if you haven't started the game? Seriously, hasn't it rained every other day of play in this CWS? Is this typical Omaha weather? They should move the CWS to Dallas. We haven't seen rain in 2 months.

Man, this weather is so damn annoying. I haven't gotten to watch all of almost any late game in Omaha this year because they all end up getting pushed back. I just want to watch some damn baseball.
Yes, it is tradition and all, but it would be nice to have "The Road to San Diego". No weather issues this time of the year.
I'd much rather travel to San Diego than Omaha. Not disrespect on Omaha, but what else is there to see there?

I actually really enjoyed Omaha. We did a lot of eating and drinking, so go with people you like. It was sunny and hot the whole time I was there.
True, Omaha isn't the best vacation spot for your average tourists. San Diego would be much better for that.
But we have been to the CWS for several years now and we go for the baseball atmosphere, games and discussions with a multitude of baseball-minded people from all over. Sure, they'd all still be there in San Diego, or anywhere else, but they would blend in with the other tourists.
Omaha has the tradition and the entire city turns into a baseball town for the CWS. Everyone there is there to watch baseball, talk baseball. There are some good restaurants, the zoo, Strategic Air Command, casinos, and probably a few other places worth a visit. But we just spent 9 days there watching 13 games. There isn't time for much else. On the single game days, you will get the day to sightsee. This year one of the days had a rain make up so we only had 1 day to do the zoo. On a rain delay night, we ate at a steakhouse - not something we normally have time to do.
You have to go and experience the whole thing. It is not something one can just describe, you have to experience it to get a true understanding. Sure, there could be better venues for the CWS, but at least in my opinion, Omaha is the perfect place for it.
