Tech looks good. I like their coach. They were smart to hire someone with JUCO head coaching success. Also a tech alum. I don't know why a major program would ever hire a coach without head coaching success.

As a Tech fan I'm glad for the call. If I were a gator fan I'd be questioning it, but I know calls go both ways.

I think the Gators have a chance to come back thru the loser's bracket with their pitching and the way CWS games are spaced out. UF can do it if they get interested in playing baseball. Didn't seem excited last night.

at this point it's Arkansas' championship to lose

Is it me or has Florida really been in a funk the last month or so?
They dropped their last 4 SEC regular season games and then went 1-2 in the SEC tournament.
They dropped a game in their regional (not terrible) but they didn't really breeze through.
Then they went into extra innings of game 3 of the Supers and got a "lucky" play to win.
Now, they just lost their opener in the CWS.

Certainly not playing like the #1 RPI team that they were all season long.

Washington sports made some very nice gains under Woodward. Pulling for them as well. Still think it'll be an SEC team that wins this thing. Arkansas was very impressive yesterday.
