At least this time we (the SEC), do not have to play against each other in the first round.
It would have been much better if #4 Mississippi and #8 Georgia had also made it.
However, they did not even get out of their Regionals.

Vegas odds:
Oregon State 7/4
Florida 7/2
Arkansas 17/4
North Carolina 13/2
Texas 7/1
Mississippi State 17/2
Texas Tech 10/1
Washington 12/1

Clearly, the two strongest teams overall (batting, pitching, fielding) are Oregon State and Florida.
Definitely pulling for a Mississippi State vs. Arkansas final.

Having lived through it, I feel that kids pain. It really sucks for him and I was disappointed how the NC coach and training staff handled it.

He plead guilty in a court of law. His own brother hasn't spoken to him or his family. It really sucks if nothing happened and this ruined his life, but it seems something went on that probably shouldn't have.

Wrong on his brother. His brother speaks to the family and went to see Luke pitch when he played at UW.

Many innocent people take a plea. Especially as a minor when it means a clean record when you're 18.

Dude was out twice on that play! Earlier the ball that hit the ump was foul as well. Garbage!

This game is already long enough. While in general I like the expansion of replay experiment that the SEC implemented this season, IMO there still needs to be some tweaking in order not to slow down the game either further. Still this being the CWS, they should expand reviewable plays to what we saw in the SEC this year.

This is a 1 run game if the correct call is made at 3rd. It would have taken all of 10 seconds to see the guy was out. You have the technology, so use it.

We had the technology in the SEC yet replay was hardly quick. It often took 5+ minutes with the call usually being upheld. I have no problem with replay in general but the NCAA needs to come up with a more efficient review than used in the SEC before being adopted as a whole in the rest of the NCAA. Of course this being the CWS, go ahead and use lengthy review if it gets the call correct. My comment to start my post was more frustration at the length of games at the college baseball's biggest stage.

The NCAA is choosing to make the games last 4 hours plus. I guess it's the only time each year they can make money on college baseball. It's like the 2:30 CBS football game that last 5 hours with extended commercial breaks every few plays.
