I think there is some logic to swinging early. Davidson throws a lot of strikes and issues few walks from what I read. So if you take the first pitch you're probably 0-1 on a pitch that is probably swing worthy.

On the other hand, Davidson will try to work us so we should throw sure strikes on the first pitch because they are probably not swinging on that one anyway. Until they start swinging at it, you keep firing strikes.

Yeah except they have no depth on the staff. The absolute worst loss they could have had was a long game where they burned their bullpen and still lost. That's what happened.

Do you deny they said it? Have we not had issues with choking? Just confirms what most of us have expected. We play tight when the stage gets big.

Our guys should be as loose as a goose. We weren't expected to be here either. This was supposed to be a rebuilding year.

The announcers (who many have pointed out are very bad) are not gospel. Don't bring that "appeal to authority" bull here. Look at our dugout when they show it. Our guys are having a great time and playing around.
