Yeah it was a diving attempt because he took a terrible angle and fell down.
Yes....he lost the ball, took a weird angle, and lunged to try and catch it when he caught sight of it but it was already too low to the ground.
Pretty sure the announcer just confused Kyle field with Bluebell...

Tripped and fell down is more accurate, but diving works too.

He more misjudged the ball and then fell down when he tried to correct his position to catch it.

Oh he dove all right. After he almost overran the ball then realized he was too deep
OK, we got our bad play in the field over. This pitcher gave up two moonshots last inning and they have no bullpen left. I feel good about this game.

Field tripped him while he adjusted to the ball. I can see how it was called diving live but it wasn't really when on replay.

What's scary is that most of our errors have been coming from very routine plays.
