How is that a good AB? Because he got a hit? I think that is all people are judging. Not the AB, but the result.


Only listening on the radio, so I didnt see. But it sounded like he worked the count and was rewarded with a ball he could hit.

Granted, good result too. But even if the hit didn't fall, I still think it would have been a good AB.
Pitcher has thrown lots of first pitch strikes today, most of them have been called strikes. He is pumping out strikes. Barash was started off with a ball. Then two straight strikes he took. If Barash would have gotten out, people would say he cannot let good pitches go.

My comments are directed more at the people saying that we are not working the count enough today The pitcher has been pumping first pitch strikes. Very difficult for hitters to be behind inthe count all day. Pitcher has been dealing.

Regarding Banks, I am pretty sure that the first swing and miss was a hit-n-run with Barash. he was protecting the runner so that was definitely a good terrible swing
