No surprise at all. We should be set at the guard and small forward positions

Managed to make it to the Nike EYBL tournament in Dallas this morning. Wow what a collection of talent. Harris looked solid as usual.

Tell us more! I usually make it out there, but I had Muster duties last night and couldn't make it. Any other A&M targets you saw?

Chris Harris hitting a three:

Apparently Harris scored close to 30 in that particular game.

Refreshing to see a guy with an actual jump shot.

I've had it on my calendar for about 2 months and planned to see a lot more than I was able to, but family stuff got in the way and Sunday morning was the only time I could steal away and go watch.

The 8:00am matchup between Drive Nation and Houston Hoops was what I went to see in particular, and it didn't disappoint; solid matchup between teams intermixed with Houston and Dallas talent on each team (Harris and Maxey guarding one-another was entertaining).

Then I watched two other games before having to leave: Mac Irvin Fire from Chicago vs. Boo Williams from Virginia at 9:30, and then CIA Bounce from Canada vs. New York Lightening at 11:00. Both were entertaining, but none of those 4 teams had any of the premier players anchoring them. I'd have liked to have stuck around to see NY Renessaince play The City Rocks, but again, had to leave early to get my son to baseball practice. Also had Nike Team Florida on my list to watch so I could see Vernon Carey play but the schedule didn't work out either.

Didn't have time to track down any of our targets and make any of their games, but I can tell you that's the best $10 I've ever spent to watch live basketball. The talent level is essentially like watching high level college basketball. Not as refined as you'd like to see scheme-wise, which is to be expected, but the athleticism and demonstration of skills is incredible...and you're getting to see it all courtside. If the 17U EYBL ever comes through here again, I'll be going again whether I know anybody playing or not. It's that fun to watch.

Oh, the people watching is incredible too. Standing there visiting with some friends and Jay Wright walked by not 2 feet away. For the 3 days that one of those sessions is in town, that gym is the epicenter of high school players and college coaches.

Unfortunately, the shoe company does not typically send a guy like that to us.

Regarding Will Baker. the PG (#2) assisting Baker on his latest highlight video is none other than Aggie commit, Sahvir Wheeler. Perhaps, they are on the same AAU team through this summer.

They are. Both run with Basketball University.

I saw Will Baker last year and really liked him.

I know Jalen Wilson's mom and my read is Kansas for him just from watching her social media posts and a few messages back & forth.

Meaningless at this point, but I do get a chuckle out of A&M having the 5th ranked class on 247 currently for 2019.

Will Baker will go to TU like every other Westlake graduate. Might as well not waste our time on him.

After a good showing at this Adidas tournament, Sahvir is up to #105 in the Rivals rankings and is a 4-star. Has grown to 5'8". Needs to either be about as quick as Ulis or gain a couple more inches.

Harris is also a 4-star and #87 on Rivals nationally.

JERRY MEYER
Sahvir Wheeler, PG, Basketball University
The diminutive floor general came up big for Basketball University this weekend at the adidas event. The Texas A&M commit averaged 12 points per game while shooting in the 60-percent range from the field. More importantly, Wheeler averaged 8.6 assists per game with his assists going up in every game throughout the event. He is another prospect who is helping his stock with his play this spring.
