Hello fellow kids. It has been a very long winter on the mountain but spring is coming. I'm sitting out here boiling down homemade maple syrup and enjoying the bright glowing orb in the sky.

Xikar single flame butane torch is what I prefer, but I enjoy slowly roasting the edge a bit before lighting up. It's the process that's half the fun after all.

Roar of the Guadalupe finally is back after all this rain. Perfect weather for some drinks and a smoke. First kristoff I've had. Not bad.

Need a recommendation for a nice cigar to celebrate my 40 year birthday coming up. I generally smoke things like Rocky Patel Punch, Old World Reserves, Monte Cristos, etc and tend to like spicier flavors. Have plenty of scotches I can pair one with. Not even remotely close to a connoisseur but don't mind dropping $20-30 for a special occasion smoke.

Is that a Cuban Boliver? One of the first Cuban cigars I ever smoked. We were in Aruba and they have a Casa Del Habano shop. It was a great cigar!
